Usage and Care
For your own safety, please follow the
following guidelines when you use your
mobile phone. Failure to comply may be
dangerous or illegal.
Road Safety
Do not use the mobile phone while driving.
If necessary, park the vehicle first.
Switch off in aircraft
Mobile phones can cause interference to
aircraft electronics. Using them on an
aircraft is both illegal and dangerous.
Switch off when refueling vehicle
Do not use the phone at a refueling station
or near fuels or chemicals.
Forbidden Usage
Always switch off your phone where usage
is forbidden in areas such as a hospital.
Interference
All mobile phones may be subject to radio
interference, which could affect
performance.
Use qualified service
Only qualified service personnel should
repair your cellular mobile phone.
Emergency calls
Ensure your phone is switched on and in
service. Enter the emergency number for
your country and press the call key. Give
your location. Do not end the call until told
to do so.
Accessories
Use only approved batteries and
accessories. The use of other types may
invalidate the warranty for the product and
may be dangerous.

Care for Your Phone
To ensure the longevity of the product,
please keep it away from:
Liquids
Do not expose your phone to
liquids of any form including
water, rain, high humidity and
moisture.
Dust and dirt
Do not expose your phone to
dust, dirt, sand or any other
potential contaminants.
Extreme temperatures
Do not expose your phone to
extreme temperatures below –
10°C or above 45°C.
For example, leaving your phone
on the dashboard of a car during
a hot day.
Cleaning solutions
Avoid using alcohol or other
cleaning solutions on your phone.
Use only a dry, lint-free soft cloth
to clean the phone surface.

Do not place your phone in a
microwave oven.

Getting Started
Battery Installation
1. Remove the battery door by sliding it
upwards as shown.
2. Align the contacts of the battery and
push the battery gently into position. The
battery should sit snugly in the battery
compartment.
3. Slide the battery door until it clicks back
into place.

Charging the Battery
The phone can be charged from the
charger supplied or via a computer USB
port.
1. Lift up the USB connector cover.
2. Insert the connector into the phone. The
battery charging progress will be
indicated via the battery icon.
Note:
The phone will charge at a slower rate as
compared to charging from the supplied
rapid charger. Please use the USB cable
provided when charging from the computer.
Please also ensure that the computer is
turned on and the necessary drivers are
installed for the computer’s USB port to
allow charging.
Always use the recommended battery and
chargers. Use of batteries other than the
recommended type may present a risk of
fire, explosion or leakage and may result in
injury to the user or damage to property.

If the phone has not been used for some
time, the phone may take about 2 to 3
minutes to show the charging indicator.
This is normal if the battery is fully
exhausted.

Inserting the SIM card
Ensure that the phone is turned off before
inserting or removing the SIM cards.
1. Carefully slide upwards to remove the
battery door.
2. Remove the battery from the battery
compartment.
3. Locate the iDEN SIM card and MicroSD
card slot and the SIM door latch
4. Slide the SIM door latch in the direction
as shown to unlock.
5. Flip up the SIM card slot.
6. Remove any plastic insert in the SIM
card slot and the MicroSD card slot.
7. Insert the iDEN SIM card as shown
below. Ensure that the iDEN SIM card
contacts are facing downwards.

8. Insert the MicroSD card as shown below.
Close the iDEN SIM card slot and slide the
SIM door latch back to lock the iDEN SIM
card and MicroSD card in place.
9. To insert the GSM SIM card, locate the
GSM SIM slot. The SIM card will slide
into the slot in the direction as indicated
in the following diagram.
Caution:
The SIM card can be easily damaged by
scratching or bending, so be careful when
handling, inserting or removing the card. To
prevent damage to the SIM card, do not
remove the SIM card unless necessary.

Switch the Phone ON/OFF
To turn on the phone, press and hold the
Power On/Off
key on the top of the
phone until the display turns on.
If PIN code is prompted, key in the PIN
code, and select OK.
If lock code is prompted, key in the lock
code, and select OK.
To turn the phone off, press and hold the
Power On/Off
button until the display
turns off.
Offline Mode
The transmitter feature allows you to use
your device by connecting to the wireless
network.
When you turn off the transmitter, the
connection to the wireless network is turned
off, as indicated by in the signal strength
indicator area. All wireless RF signals to
and from the device are prevented.
To switch between transmission modes:
:
1. Select Menu > Settings > Phone
Settings > Transmitter > On/Off.
2. Select Yes when prompted to confirm the
action.
Note:
In the offline mode you cannot make or
receive any calls, or use other features that
require cellular network coverage.
However, calls may still be possible to the
official emergency number programmed
into your device.

To make calls, you must first activate the
phone function by changing profiles. If the
device has been locked, enter the lock
code.
If you try to send messages while in the
offline mode, the messages will be placed
in the Unsent folder to be sent later.
