Installation Instructions
Tools required: 1 Phillips screwdriver
Product installation position and assembly:
· The product must be installed on rm and level ground.
· Provide sufcient space and light for the convenience of
daily maintenance.
· The motor must be ventilated for cooling. Do not put the
product in a wet place with no ventilation.
At least 2 persons are recommended to install the product.
1. Position the product in the place selected.
2. Make sure the connection between the body and the
pedestal is good.
Important note: the product must be positioned on the ground
or a permanently upward pedestal in some EU countries. To determine whether there
are any regulations on surface pool lters consult the local authorities. If any, x the
lter using two holes drilled in a platform. (See FIG. 02)
The sand lter pump should be secured on a cement pedestal or wood platform to

I. Sand Filling
Note: use 20# quartz sand or glass sand. Particle size of the sand is 0.45-
1.25mm.
Note: before sand filling, make sure the central connecting pipe (P9) is
connected at the bottom of the body and vertically stands in the center of
the body (see FIG. 03).
1.First, sleeve the positioning plate (P16) onto the top of the central
connecting pipe. (See FIG. 04)
2.Then pour sand into the body slowly. (See FIG. 05)
3. When the sand is near to the half way level, remove the positioning plate,
spread the sand evenly with one’s hands, and pour in more sand so that
the lling of the remaining sand is buffered. This can help avoid excessive
vibrations of the central connecting pipe (P9). Afterwards, ensure the
positioning plate (P16) replaced properly and keep pouring sand.
4. Remove the positioning plate (P16) (see FIG. 06) and spread the sand
evenly with one’s hands
5.Clear away the sand around the top of the body.

II. Installation of manometer
II. Installation of manometer
III. Installation of control valve
1. Take out the manometer from the package,
check whether that the seal ring is present.
2. Screw the manometer onto the control
valve in a clockwise direction until tightly xed.
1. Connect one end of a corrugated pipe (P18) to Port B, the other end to
port F of the pool. Secure tightly with a strap (P17).
2. Connect one end of the connecting pipe P12 to Port C of the control
valve, the other end to Port C of the motor. Secure tightly with the strap
1.Check whether the seal ring of the control valve (P5) is properly
positioned, then place the control valve (P2) onto the top of the body
slowly, and ensure the port at the bottom of the control valve is closely
inserted into the port on the top of the central connecting pipe (P9) (FIG.
06, 07).
2. There are 3 port connecting points on the control valve. It is essential to
ensure Port A points towards the pool, and that Port C of the control valve
is aligned with Port C of the motor. (See FIG. 10)
3. Remove the screw group on the control valve retainer, clamp the control
valve retainer around the ange between the body and the control valve,
and then pass the screw group through the drilled clip nuts and tighten
with a screwdriver (not provided) (see FIG. 08).

III. Draining procedure
Warning: Before operation, make sure all corrugated
tubes are properly connected and locked and the lter
has been lled with the correct amount of sand.
Warning: Before operation, make sure the product is
disconnected from the grounded receptacle protected
by electrical leakage.
Warning: The control valve is provided with one closed
valve position. Do not attempt to start the product when
the control valve is in the closed position.
1.Make sure the product is powered-
off.
2.Remove the drain nuts (P3) first,
then move the adapter (P4) at Port A
and water pipe (P18) to Port D (see
FIG. 12).
3.Press the control valve handle
downwards and rotate it to the draining
position, and then turn the power
1.After the aforementioned preparations, the sand
lter pump is ready for use. Set the lter function of
the control valve.
2.Insert the plug into the matched receptacle to run
the sand lter pump.
Note: During the operation of the sand filter pump,
check the pressure reading of the manometer (P1).

V. Sand Filter Pump Maintenance
VI. Motor and Slag Blocking Barrel Cleaning and Maintenance
Note: You must make sure that maintenance begins
only after the sand filter pump is unplugged.
Otherwise serious risks such as personal injury and
even death may occur.
Note: Record the reading of the manometer during
the operation of the sand lt er pump (see FIG. 15).
When the manometer shows a pressure of 0.2bar
(3psi) or higher, please clean up the sand bend
or replace the sand. Use "backwash" and "rinse"
functions.
Note: regular rinsing according to use situation is
recommended.
1.It is essential to make sure the power cord is
removed from the receptacle.
2.Block the water outlet of the pool.
3.Unscrew the slag blocking cover (P15) on the
slag blocking barrel in an anticlockwise direction,
take out the slag blocking screen (P13) and the
seal ring (P14).
4.Rinse the slag blocking screen with a water
pipe. If necessary, use a plastic brush to remove
impurities. Do not use a metal brush.
5.Rinse the inside of the slag blocking screen
and the seal ring of the slag blocking barrel with a
water pipe
6.Install the seal ring (P14) of the slag blocking
barrel, the slag blocking screen (P13) and the

Long-term storage and storage in winter
Using the product in a frozen pool may damage the product and
invalidate the quality warranty. If the product has to be used with
antifreeze, propylene glycol may also be used. Propylene glycol is
a nontoxic chemical unharmful to any plastic parts. Other types of
antifreeze are highly toxic and may be harmful to the product’s plastic
elements.
1.Before discharging the water or repostioning of the pool, make sure
the discharge direction is towards the discharging ditch and away
from the home. Review local regulations for special water treatment
requirements.
2.Switch off the product and remove the power plug.
3.After emptying, remove all connected sand lter pumps, corrugated
tubes and lter hoods on the pool wall.
4.Unscrew the drain valve (8) in an anticlockwise direction to completely
empty water inside the body. The drain plug is at the bottom of the
body.
5.Dry the parts of the sand lter pump and corrugated tubes.
6.Lubricate the seal rings and washers in the order below for long-term
storage.
8.The best practice for product storage is to dry the parts and motor
and replace them in the original package. To avoid shrinkage or
corrosion, do not cover or wrap the motor with a plastic bag.
9.Please store the motor and parts in a dry place at 32°F (0°C) ~104°F
(40°C).
