IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electric appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed, including the following:

Safety instructions

Short Cord instructions

Longer detachable power-supply cords or extension cords are available and may be used if care is
exercised in their use.
If a long detachable power-supply cord or extension cord is used :
1) The marked electrical rating of the cord or extension cord should be at least as great as the
electrical rating of the appliance;
2) If the appliance is of the grounded type, the extension cord should be a grounding-type3-wire
cord;
and
3) The longer cord should be arranged so that it does not drape over the countertop or table top

Before first use
1 Remove all packaging materials, stickers and accessories
from the inside and the outside of the appliance.
Never place the appliance directly on a fragile surface (glass
table, tablecloth, varnished furniture, etc.) or on a soft surface
such as a dish towel.
To prevent the appliance from overheating, do not place it
in a corner or against a wall.
2 When using for the first time, wash the Wok and the acces-
sories with a sponge, hot water and dish soap liquid. Wipe
dry with a soft cloth or paper towels.
Pour a little cooking oil inside the Wok and then wipe it with
an absorbent kitchen towel.
Do not place the cooking plate under water or onto fragile
surface when the appliance is hot.
Never use metal scourers or scouring powders to avoid dam-
aging the cooking surface.
Properly position the steaming pan on the wok and lid on
the steaming pan.
3 Set the electrical box on min. position, connect the electrical
box to the pin of the appliance.
If the electrical box is incorrectly positioned, the safety
system will prevent the appliance from working.
Make sure that the electrical box is completely inserted.
4 Fully unwind the power cord.
Make sure that the electric power supply is compatible with
the power rating and voltage indicated under the electrical
box.
Only the appropriate electrical box must be used.

5 Plug the power cord into grounded socket.
If an extension cord is used: take all necessary precautions
to prevent anyone tripping over an extension cord.
If the power supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by
the manufacturer or its service agent or a similarly qualified
person in order to avoid a hazard.
The power supply cord should be regularly examined for
signs of damage, and if the cord is damaged, the appliance
must not be used.
On first use, there may be a slight odor and a little smoke
during the first few minutes. In these cases, open the
windows and wait until there is no more.
This appliance is not intended to be operated by means
of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Do not move the appliance when in use.

Ensure that the food to be cooked is well drained.
When using frozen food, ensure that it is properly defrosted and

Wok cooking
6 To cook in the wok, put on a little oil and turn the dial to the
desired temperature setting.
The preheat indicator light comes on to indicate the grill is
heating.
When the selected temperature is reached, the preheat
indicator light will go out.
The preheat indicator light will turn on and off during
cooking to indicate your desired temperature is being
maintained.
After the preheat, you can place foods into the wok and add
the tempered glass lid if necessary.
Do not use the steaming pan during the wok cooking.
7 The different positions of the thermostat are given only for
a guide:
- Function "keep warm" : position 1-2
- Function "simmering" (gentle and fast): position 3-4
- Function "browning and frying" : position 5-maxi

8 Place the thermostat in the max. position, add water to the
wok, place the steam pan with food and lid on top of the
wok.
Water must be in the wok base in order for the steaming pan
to cook your foods.
The steaming pan is very hot during cooking and shortly
after. Be sure to use oven mitts when using.

9 Place the thermostat in the min. position before
unplugging.
10 Before cleaning, unplug steamwok from wall outlet and
allow to cool.
11 To avoid accidental burns, allow steamwok to cool
thoroughly before cleaning.
Then disconnect the electrical box.

12 The lid, the bowl , the steaming pan can be cleaned using a
sponge, hot water and dish soap.
Never use a metallic sponge or scouring powder as this could
damage the non-stick coating inside the bowl.
13 Do not immerse the electrical base and the power cord of
steamwok in water or any other liquid.
The electrical base with wok and the electrical box are not
dishwasher-safe.
The lid and the steaming pan are dishwasher-safe.
14 Always make sure steamwok is cold, clean and dry before
storing.
Store the appliance in a dry place.

The Warranty
This product is guaranteed by T-fal for 1 year against any manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship, starting from the initial date of purchase.
The manufacturer's warranty by T-fal is an extra benefit which does not affect consumer's Statutory Rights.
The T-fal warranty covers all costs related to restoring the proven defective product so that it conforms to its original specifications, through the
repair or replacement of any defective part and the necessary labor. At T-fal’s choice, a replacement product may be provided instead of repairing
a defective product. T-fal’s sole obligation and your exclusive resolution under this warranty are limited to such repair or replacement.
Conditions & Exclusions
The T-fal warranty only applies within USA, Canada & Mexico, and is valid only on presentation of a proof of purchase. The product can be taken
directly in person to an authorized service center or must be adequately packaged and returned, by recorded delivery (or equivalent method of
postage), to a T-fal authorized service center. Full address details for each country’s authorized service center are listed on the T-fal website
(www.t-fal.ca) or by calling the appropriate telephone number listed below to request the appropriate postal address.
T-fal shall not be obligated to repair or replace any product which is not accompanied by a valid proof of purchase.
