INITIAL SETUP
1. Remove your scale from the protective bag and insert the batteries. Place
the scale on a flat surface.
2. To complete setup and pair your scale to the Escali SmartConnect mobile
app, please visit: www.escali.com/setup

WEIGHT MEASUREMENTS
1. Press the power [ ] to turn the scale on.
2. Press UNIT [ ] to change units (pounds, ounces, grams.)
3. Place an item on the scale in the center of the platform.
TARE (ADD & WEIGH)
Ignore the weight of a container:
1. Place a container on the platform before turning the scale on.
-OR-
1. Turn the scale on, add the container and press TARE [ ].
2. Wait 3 seconds and zero weight will display.
3. Add items into the container to be weighed.
Find the individual weight of multiple items in one container:
1. Press TARE [ ] to reset the scale back to zero weight.
2. Add additional items to be weighed.
3. Repeat steps 1-2 for each additional item.
Reset the scale back to zero weight:
1. If nothing is on the scale and it does not read zero weight, press TARE
[ ] to reset the scale back to zero weight.
Attention! The scale will tare any amount of weight. Once the total weight ac-
tually on the scale reaches the maximum capacity of 11 pounds (5000 g.) the
overload warning code (EEEE) will display.
KITCHEN TIMER
1. Press the timer symbol [ ] to enter into the timer feature.
2. Press UNIT [ ] to change numbers. Press [ ] to confirm.
3. After selecting the last number, press [ ] to start the timer.
4. Press [ ] to switch back into scale mode. The timer will continue to run.

5. To reset the timer, press and hold [ ] while in timer mode.
6. Press [ ] to turn off the alarm.
BLUETOOTH® SMART
Bluetooth® SMART wireless technology, also known as Bluetooth® Low Ener-
gy or BLE, enables the Escali SmartConnect Kitchen Scale to automatically
send weight measurements to the Escali SmartConnect mobile app for en-
hanced functionality.
TOUCH SENSITIVE CONTROLS
•
Light contact with the surface of the controls will activate them.
•
Pressing hard on the controls will cause the scale to malfunction.
•
You must operate the controls with bare hands.
AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF
The scale will turn off after 5 minutes of inactivity to save battery.
BLUE BACKLIGHT DISPLAY
•
The backlight will turn on when adding items onto the scale.
•
The backlight turns off automatically after 18 seconds of inactivity.
SOUNDS
•
To silence the confirmation beep, press and hold UNIT [ ]. The kitchen
timer alarm will not be silenced.
•
To reactivate the confirmation beep, press and hold UNIT [ ].
PROPER USE & CARE
•
Use and stow the scale at room temperature.
•
Use on a flat, level and stable surface.
•
The scale is an instrument of precision. Do not submit the scale to shak-
ing, excessive vibration or other rough treatment.
•
The display may be affected by electromagnetic disturbances such as radi-
os, microwaves or cell phones. If such disturbances occur, remove the
source of the disturbance & restart the scale.
•
Disassembling or tampering with the scale voids the warranty.
•
Clean the scale with dish soap and a damp cloth.
•
Do not submerge in liquid. The scale is not waterproof.

MEDICIÓN DE PESO
1. Presione el botón de encendido
[ ] para encender la báscula.
2. Presione el botón UNIT (Unidad)
[ ] para cambiar las unidades de
pesaje (libras, onzas, gramos)
3. Coloque un artículo sobre el centro de la plataforma de la báscula.
TARA (AGREGAR & PESAR)
Ignorar el peso de un recipiente:
1. Coloque un recipiente sobre la plataforma antes de encender la báscula; o
- ó -
1. Encienda la báscula, coloque el recipiente y presione el botón TARE (Tara)
[ ].
2. Espere 3 segundos y se mostrará un peso de cero.
3. Agregue artículos dentro del recipiente a ser pesado.
Encontrar el peso individual de múltiples artículos en un recipiente:
1. Presione el botón TARE (Tara)
[ ] para restablecer la báscula a un
peso de cero.
2. Agregue artículos adicionales a ser pesados.
3. Repita los pasos 1 y 2 por cada artículo adicional.
Restablecer la báscula a un peso de cero:
1. Si no hay nada en la báscula y no lee cero peso, presione el botón TARE
(Tara)
[ ] para restablecer la báscula a un peso de cero.
2. ¡Atención!
La báscula usará como tara cualquier cantidad de peso. Una
vez que el peso total en la báscula alcance la capacidad máxima de 11

USO Y CUIDADO APROPIADOS
•
Use y guarde la báscula a temperatura ambiente.
•
Use la báscula sobre una superficie plana, nivelada y estable.
•
La báscula es un instrumento de precisión. No someta la báscula a
sacudidas, vibración excesiva u otro tratamiento rudo.
•
La pantalla puede verse afectada por perturbaciones electromagnéticas,
tales como las producidas por radios, microondas o teléfonos celulares. Si
se presentan dichas perturbaciones, retire la fuente de la perturbación y
reinicie la báscula.
•
Desmontar o manipular la báscula anulará su garantía.
•
Limpie la báscula con jabón para vajilla y un paño húmedo.
•
No la sumerja en líquidos. La báscula no es impermeable.
