Introduction
The DLC-010 is a controller for the DuraCover System
The device has following functionalities:
Programmable open and close positions
Local control (via key switch) and/or remote control (via LinkTouch +
PLP-REM(-350))
Dead man switch mode (DMS), can be set to open the cover and/or close
the cover
Soft-start and soft-stop
Overload and overcurrent protection
Status indication with multi-color LED
Dead man switch (DMS) mode is a working mode that requires the user to
keep controlling the open or close switch while operating the cover. When
the control is released, the cover movement stops immediately.

DLC-010 as stand-alone unit
Connect a 230VAC power source to the circuit breaker on the DIN-rail.
Connect the ground wire to the grounding terminal block (next to the
circuit breaker)
Connect the motor power wires to the “Cover motor (24VDC)”
connection terminal and the motor sensor wires to the “Cover motor
sensor” connection terminal blocks in the DLC-010. (terminal nrs 1, 2, 3,
4, 5)
Connect the ‘open’ and ‘close’ terminals of the key switch to the key
switch terminal blocks (terminal nrs 9, 10, 11, 12)
Make sure DIP switch 1 is set to the OFF position, so the DLC-010 will be
controlled locally, via the keyswitch
After installation:
Switch on the main power. The status LED should be blue (“not calibrated”
mode - see page 12 for details).
Turn the key switch and check if the motor is rotating the correct way
(keyswitch turned to open - cover needs to open). If this is not the case,
then swap the motor power cables (see picture next page: switch the red
and grey wires - terminal nrs 1 & 2)

Calibration
During calibration, the ‘open’ and ‘close’ position of the DuraCover System
are saved in the memory of the DLC-010. After this calibration, the user can
open and close the cover safely without crossing the end positions.

Step 3: Save
1. Set slide switch CALIBRATION: OFF
2. Set slide switch FORCE: OFF
3. When the calibration is succesfull, the
status LED will become green

Correction
During correction, the ‘open’ and ‘close’ position can be updated without
restarting the full calibration process. This function is only possible if a cali-
bration was already done before
When the ‘open’ position is corrected, the ‘close’ position is changed accord-
ingly (and the other way around).
Procedure:
1. Set the FORCE slide switch to ON, in case the cover needs to move
beyond the current calibration limits. (Calibration slide switch can stay
OFF)
2. Use the keyswitch to move the cover to the correct OPEN or CLOSED
position.
3. Set slide switch CALIBRATION: ON
4. Set slide switch CALIBRATION: OFF
5. When the calibration correction succeeded, the status LED will become
green.
Dead Man Switch settings
DIP switch 2 & 3 can be used to activate Dead Man Switch mode (DMS*):
*Dead man switch (DMS) mode is a working mode that requires the user to keep controlling the
open or close switch while operating the cover. When the control is released, the cover move-
ment stops immediately.

Flip the desired DIP switch to the ON position, to activate the designated DMS
mode.

In case the DLC-010 is at
the start or end position of
the CAN bus, make sure to
switch the CAN load switch
to the right position.
230VAC
PLP-REM-350
The DLC-010 can be connected to a PLP-REM-350 to allow control
of the DuraCover System using the LINKTouch*. Connection between
DLC-010 and PLP-REM-350 can be done using the CAN bus interface.
1. Connect the power cables, DuraCover motor, sensors & key switch: Fol-
low the instructions on page 6.
2. Make sure DIP switch 1 is set to the ON position
3. A twisted pair cable needs to be connected between the DLC-010 CAN
terminal blocks (nrs 7 & 8) and the PLP-REM-350 CAN connector.**
Respect the polarity of the terminals! (CAN L & H)
CAN BUS
*
The DLC-010 can always be controlled with a Key-switch, even when a LinkTouch is configured
** We recommend using a shielded twisted pair cable (min. 0,5mm² - up to 200m)

The end points are programmed and the cover will not go outside these
limits.
The cover can be controlled locally (via the key switch) and remote (via
the LINKTouch), this in automatic mode and in DMS mode.
In automatic mode, a soft-start and soft-stop is active. The cover stops
when the calibrated open or close position is reached.
When the key switch is turned to the open or close position (or the open
or close button on the LINKTouch is pressed) during movement of the
cover, the cover stops immediately as an emergency brake.
In DMS mode, only the soft-start is active. The cover stops immediately
when the key switch (or LINKTouch button) is released.
When a LINKTouch is used, the cover indicates its position on the LINK-
Touch.
The relay for filtration pump is enabled when the cover is not in the cali-
brated open or close position.

CALIBRATION
The status LED blinks green.
The cover can be controlled locally (via the key switch) and remote (via Link-
Touch), but only in DMS mode: the cover stops immediately when the con-
trol is released.
The calibration procedure is explained in detail in topic “Calibration” (page 8) and
“correction” (page 9)
FORCE
The status LED is yellow.
This mode can be used to temporarily overrule the open and/or close posi-
tions of the cover when it is already calibrated. The cover can be controlled
locally (via the key switch) and remote (via LinkTouch), but only in DMS mode:
the cover stops immediately when the control is released.
NOT CALIBRATED
The status LED is blue.
The cover can be controlled locally (via the key switch) and remote (via Link-
Touch), but only in DMS mode: the cover stops immediately when the con-
trol is released.
TEMPORARY ERROR
The status LED is red.
The device indicates that an error is present. As soon as the error condition
disappears, the device continues in normal operation.
Possible error conditions are listed in the Troubleshooting topic below.
In case an temporary error occurs: shut down the device and restart. If the
error condition is not resolved, please contact your installer.
FATAL ERROR
The status LED is blinking red fast
The device shows a fatal error and cannot recover. Please contact your in-
staller.
