Signal Penetration is selected by switching
between yellow & red LED’s using the white and
orange buttons to match the sequence to the
key displayed on the label. Please refer to the
online User Guide for more information.
Place the RWS onto material under test with
appropriate scale/mode/signal penetration
selected.
Adjust Sensitivity wheel to place needle at a low
starting point above zero.
Readings are displayed instantly in the 0-100
comparative scale.
To Hold/freeze the readings press the HOLD
button once. When HOLD button is pressed
both LED’s will flash continuously. If the RWS is
shut down in HOLD mode it will retain the
stored reading when powered up next and
remain in Hold mode.
Automatic power timeout (10 mins) conserves
battery life.
Taking core samples of the EIFS or foamed roof
insulation and/or the use of a pin type resis-
tance meter such as a TRAMEX PTM2 with
deep wall probes is recommended to substanti-
ate the RWS readings.
Annual calibrations are recommended as
best practice.
