INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS FOR 5”, 8” and 12”

GEOTASK SWITCHABLE SURFACE MOUNT ACCENT LIGHT

GEOTASK CAN BE MOUNTED ON ANY SURFACE WHERE A

JUNCTION BOX OR PANCAKE BOX (SEE COMPATIBLE

JUNCTION BOXES BELOW) IS PRESENT. THESE

INSTRUCTIONS ARE ORIENTED TOWARDS A CEILING

INSTALLATION. WALL INSTALLATION IS THE SAME, JUST

NOT FACING DOWN AS SHOWN IN THE DIAGRAMS.

DO NOT INSTALL IN AN APPLICATION THAT IS OUTSIDE OF

THE PRODUCTS LISTED AMBIENT TEMPERATURE AND IN AN

AREA THAT IS NOT EASILY ACCESSED FOR SERVICE

REQUIREMENTS.

1. PRIOR TO INSTALLATION, install mounting plate onto

the electrical junction box (by others) with mounting screws.

Make sure screws are driven in fully (1). NOTE: For

installation into mud ring, use second set of screw holes

in mounting plate.

2. SECURE FIXTURE to mounting bracket with the safety

cable. Let ﬁxture hang while you wire it to house current

(2).

3. WIRE FIXTURE TO HOUSE CURRENT following example

shown (3).

4. SELECT COLOR TEMPERATURE with switch located on

mounting side of ﬁxture (4).

5. INSTALL FIXTURE onto mounting bracket by pushing

round mounting collar up against mounting plate, and twisting

so that the mounting screws are captured and ﬁxture is

locked in position (5).

6. TO MAINTAIN WET LISTING ﬁxture must be sealed in

caulk. Requires standard or deep J-Box for installation.

Square or round mud rings are not compatible.

BEFORE YOU START:

• Please check local electrical codes before beginning

• Turn power off before installing

• Make sure to use properly rated wire
