PowerTrak™ Auxiliary
Fan Switch Installation
The PowerTrak™ auxiliary switch gives a signal to turn ON or OFF the equipment when curtain height
reaches the set position.
Tools Required
• Drill with 3/16" Bit
• 3/4" Wrench
• 1/4" Allen Wrench
• Pliers
To Set Switch Position
1. Manually raise or lower the curtains to the desired height.
2. Place the template (4) over the side, even with the center of the load block at the desired height.
3. Mark and field drill the two holes (5).

4. Attach the switch (7) and switch bracket (10) to the side using two bolts (1) and nuts (3) provided.

Disconnect and lock out/tag out all the electrical power supply to the system before
installing any replacement parts or before performing any service or maintenance.
Installation work and electrical wiring must be done by qualified person(s) in
accordance with all applicable codes and standards.

5. Replace the existing set screws on the load block with the new longer set screws (2).
6. Place the bracket (6) onto the new longer set screws (2) and secure with nuts (3). Do not over tighten
the nuts (3) as the brackets (6) must slide back and forth freely.
NOTE: For serial numbers 20625 and higher (DOM 3/4/96), you must add two 1/2" washers to the
set screws (2) between the bracket (6) and load nut (3).

7. Attach one end of the tensioning spring (9) to the bracket (6) and the other end around the grease
fitting (8).

8. For 4', 5' and 6' PowerTrak™ Machines: Replace the brace across the center at the front of the
machine with the new brace using the same four bolts.

9. Connect the wires from the switch to the wires from the limit switch harness at the bottom of the
machine.

10. Refer to the wiring connection on Pages 4 and 5 and splice the end of the new wire to any part of
the existing wire. Match the pink and tan wires color to color.

11. After completing the installation and wiring, manually raise and lower the curtain past the switch
slowly to make sure that the switch operates without binding.
