The RH Peterson Smoker Box is designed to be used on any Fire
Magic and AOG grill. To install, follow steps below.
Note: This smoker box is designed for use over main burners
with fl avor grids / vaporizer panels only. DO NOT USE
OVER INFRARED BURNERS.
Observe all safety information in your grill owner's manual and
all warnings supplied with your wood chip/chunks.
CAUTION: Ensure grill is completely cool and knobs are in
the OFF position.
1. Remove cooking grid from main burner where you wish to set
smoker box.
2. Load wood chips/chunks into smoker box (see Fig. 1-1).
Note: Wood can be pre-soaked if desired.
3. Close lid and fully open the air shutter (see Fig. 1-1).
4. Place smoker box directly onto fl avor grid / vaporizer panel
(see Fig. 1-2).
5. Light burner under the smoker box. Keep burner on HI LIGHT
setting for approximately 10 minutes or until a steady amount of
smoke is rising. Then turn to LOW setting and close air shutter
to adjust to desired amount of smoke. Cook as desired.
Note: A full basket can produce smoke for up to 45 minutes.
CAUTION: THE SMOKER BOX WILL BE HOT.
CAUTION: Wear heat resistent gloves when handling hot
smoker box.
CAUTION: Use caution when replenishing wood chunks/
chips.
CLEANING
When the chips/chunks are completely extinguished and the
unit has cooled down, remove smoker box from the grill and empty
ash into a fi reproof container.
Clean burners and igniters as needed. Inspect burners and igniters
every time you use smoker box.
