PROGRAMMING NEW OR ADDITIONAL TRANSMITTERS:
The system can be programmed to accept the codes from 4 different
transmitters. To program transmitters, it is always best to have all transmitters
that will operate the system with you during the programming. To program the
transmitters, be sure to follow all steps in exact order, and do not wait more
that 10 seconds between any 2 steps.
1. Turn the ignition key to the on position.
2. Move the valet switch on, off, on, off, on, then off.
If the optional illuminated entry feature has been installed, the dome
light will flash one time.
3. Press and hold the "Lock/Unlock" button on the first transmitter for
4 seconds.
If the optional illuminated entry feature has been installed, the dome
light will turn on for approximately 1.5 seconds when the transmitter
is accepted.
4. Repeat step 3 for all transmitters up to a total of four.
5. Move the valet switch on then off.
If the optional illuminated entry feature has been installed, the dome
light will flash two times.
6. Press and hold the "Option" button on the first transmitter for 4 seconds.
If the optional illuminated entry feature has been installed, the dome
light will turn on for approximately 1.5 seconds when the transmitter
is accepted.
7. Repeat step 6 for all transmitters up to a total of four.
8. Turn the ignition key off, and test all transmitters.
9. If any transmitter is not working, repeat the entire procedure.
TRANSMITTERBATTERY REPLACEMENT
You will notice a decrease in transmitter range as the battery condition
deteriorates. Transmitter battery replacement is recommended at least every
10 to 12 months, depending upon how frequently the transmitter is used.
The transmitter has a small red L.E.D. built into the case. This L.E.D. can be
used to indicate battery condition. If the L.E.D. does not illuminate, then the
