4. Avoid using the player in strong magnetic field.
5. Keep the device away from water or other liquids. In the event that water or other
liquids enter the device, power off the device immediately and clean it.
6. Do not use chemical solution to clean the device in order to avoid corrosion. Clean
it with a dry cloth.
7. We are not responsible for the damages or lost data caused by malfunction,
misusing, repairing the device or battery replacement.
8. Do not attempt to disassemble, repair or modify the product, or it will be out of
guarantee.

this manual. It should be subject to the actual display or design.

5 Basic Operation
Function Operation
Power On Press and hold the key until you see power-on message.
Notice: If the SD/MMC card is not inserted, “No Card” will be displayed when
you power on the device.
Power Off Press and hold the key until you see power-off message.
Play/Pause/Stop Shortly press the key to play audio file.
During playback, shortly press the
key to pause. To resume playback,
press the
key again.
Press and hold the
key for a few seconds to stop playback and return to
the beginning of current track.
Previous/Next
Press
to play the previous track; Press to play the next track.
Fast
Forward/Rewind
During playback, press and hold the
key to rewind, or press and hold the
key to fast forwards.
Volume
Adjustment
Press the V+ key to increase volume or press the V- key to decrease volume.
Lock keys
Push the Hold switch to the locked position (the position with
icon) to lock
keys against being pressed accidentally.
Push the Hold switch to the unlocked position(the position without
icon) to
enable all keys.
6 Using the Menu
Press and hold the key to enter the main menu.
Press the V+/V- key to select the menu item and press the
key to confirm.
Press the
key to return to the previous menu level. Or, do not press any key, it will return
automatically in a few seconds.
7 Folder Navigation
(1) On the main menu, select “Folder” and press the key to enter the folder navigation
mode.
(2) Press the V- key or the V+ key to select folder, and then press the
to open the selected
folder. Now you are in the folder playback mode.
(3) Select the track that you want to play and press the
key to play it.
8 Advanced Operation
Switch play mode
(1) Press and hold the
key to enter the main menu. Select“Repeat”and press the key to
confirm.
(2) Press the V+/V- key to select play mode and press the
key to confirm.
Notice
– Play all tracks in order and stop after playing all.
– Play the current track repeatedly.
– Play all tracks repeatedly.

– Play all tracks randomly.
Switch EQ mode
(1) Press and hold the
key to enter the main menu. Select“EQ”and press the key to
confirm.
(2) Press the V+/V- key to select play mode and press the
key to confirm.
A-B Repeat
To repeat the specified section of the current track,
(1) Press the
key during playback to select the start point of the repeat.
(2) Press the
key again at the desired point to specify the end point of the repeat. The
section between the start point and the end point begins to be played repeatedly.
(3) To end the A-B repeatpress the
key shortly.
Track Preview
To preview the first 10 seconds of every track,
(1) Press and hold the
key to enter the main menu. Select“Intro Play”and press the key
to confirm.
(2) Press V+ key to select“Yes”option and then press the
to confirm.
(3) Press the
key to return to the audio playback screen, the player plays the first 10
seconds of every track in order.
To stop track preview,
(1) Press and hold the
key to enter the main menu. Select “Intro Play”and press the
key to confirm.
(2) Press the V- key to select“No”and press the
key to confirm.
Display Lyric
To display the lyric during playback,
(1) Connect the player to the PC and download the lyric file with extension “.lrc” to the player
(Notice: the lyric file and the track should be in the same directory).
(2) Rename the lyric file as the track name.
(3) Disconnect the player and power on it. Enter the main menu, select“lyric”and press the
key to confirm.
(4) Press V+ key to select“Yes”and then press the
key to confirm.
(5) When you play the track with lyric file, the screen shows the lyric during playback. When
you play the track without lyric file, it shows“No lyric”instead.
To cancel lyric display, enter the main menu, select“lyric”and press the
key to confirm.
Press the V- key to select“No”and press the
key to confirm.
9 System Settings
Set backlight duration
(1) Enter the main menu, select“Backlight”and press the
key to confirm.

(2) Press the V+ / V- key to select option and press the key to confirm.
According to this setting, when you press any key, the backlight will be on for the set time.
LCD Contrast setting
To set the contrast between the LCD background and foreground,
(1) On the main menu, select“Contrast”and press the
key to confirm.
(2) Press the
/ key to adjust the contrast and press the key to save the setting.
Set the Power Off time
(1) On the main menu, select“Power”and press the
key to confirm.
(2) Press the V+ / V- key to select“Power Off”and press the
key to confirm.
(3) Press the V+ / V- key to select option and press the
key to confirm.
According to this setting, the player will be turned off automatically when it is idle for selected
duration.
Set the timer
(1) On the main menu, select“Power”and press the
key to confirm.
(2) Press V+ / V- key to select“Sleep Off”and press the
key to confirm.
(3) Press V+ / V- key to select option and press the
key to confirm.
According to this setting, the player will be turned off automatically when the set playing time is
elapsed.
View System Version
On the main menu, select“Version”and press the
key to confirm.
Set Display Language
(1) On the main menu, select“Language”and press the
key to confirm.
(2) Press the V+ / V- key to select language option and press the
to confirm.
10 Firmware Upgrade
To get the latest system version, you need to:
(1) Acquire the Vx.xx.xx.hex (Vx.xx.xx is the version number) upgrade file from the vendor and insert
the driver CD to the CD-ROM.
(2) Install a battery with full charge on the player.
(3) Hold down the key and the key simultaneously until you see the backlight is on and the
LCD is blank.
(4)
Connect the player to the PC. When you see the LCD is blank, proceed to Step (5). (If the LCD
displays something, redo the Step (3).)
(5)
You are prompted to search for new hardware. Specify the Upgrade Program folder on the driver
CD and continue following the prompts.
(6)
Execute the update.exe file in the Upgrade Program folder, and then click “Download”.
(7)
Specify the directory where the Vx.xx.xx.hex file is stored, and then continue following the
on-screen prompt.
(8) When you are prompted the upgrade is finished, disconnect the player, take out the battery and
then reload it.

12 Troubleshooting
Problem Possible Cause Solution
The LCD displays
nothing when the
Play key is pressed.
1. No battery or battery is too
low.
2. The keys are locked.

13 Notice
Please check whether the package contents are in accordance with the packing list. If any
item is missed, please contact the dealer.
Plug & Play is only available for WIN2000/XP. It is not supported by WIN98 and WIN98SE,
under which a driver needed to be installed.
Push the Hold switch to the unlocked position to enable all keys before operation.
Please replace the battery immediately when the battery status icon indicates low battery,
or the device will be powered off automatically.
Please unplug the player properly to avoid data losing.
The transfer rate displayed on the PC may be different depending on the operating system.
Exact transfer rate should be subject to the player's indication.
