01
The supplied OSO SAGA
XPRESS hot water heater stores
200L of water. It provides hot
water three times faster than
standard hot water heaters.
The OSO SAGA has been developed with high
grade material selection and intelligent technical
solutions exclusive to OSO. SAGA boasts class
leading insulation capabilities, resulting in
considerable energy savings, whilst maintaining
a higher temperature than other tanks (75°C) for
unbeatable performance and more hot water in a
smaller unit. SAGA XPRESS makes hot water
available 3 times faster than standard hot water
heaters, without increased energy consumption,
thanks to the flip-flop function between the
immersion heaters.
5 /
The hot water heater has two 3kw heaters, each connected to a
temperature sensor. The upper heater will activate when the hot
water heater fills with cold water. Once the upper water
temperature reaches 70°C, the upper heater will cut out, and the
lower heater will start, until the full tank of water is at 70°C. As
hot water gets consumed, the lower heater will start to heat up
the cold water. When a large quantity of hot water is used in a
short period of time, the upper heater starts again as the hot
water heater gets filled with cold water.

Thermostat Setting
The thermostat on the unit is adjustable from 60-90°C. The
thermostat should not be set lower than 65°C in order to
prevent bacterial growth.
To adjust the temperature
1. Disconnect the power supply.
2. Remove the front covers (4) with a screwdriver.
3. Adjust the temperatures on the thermostat (7)
with a screwdriver.
4. Fit the covers (4) before connecting the power supply.
Changing the temperature setting on the thermostats only
affects the temperature of the water in the tank. Temperature to
the taps is adjusted using the mixer valve.
7 /
Resetting the safety thermostat
The safety thermostat on the tank cuts out when there is a risk
of overheating. This can be reset by removing the cover (4) and
pressing the red ‘RESET’ button (6). If the thermostat cuts out
repeatedly, contact the installer.
WARNING
Constant voltage present in the junction box. Before
any electrical work is carried out, the power supply
must be disconnected and secured against activation
while the work is in progress.
Setting the mixer valve
The temperature of the outgoing hot water from the tank to
the taps in the home can be adjusted using the knob on the
mixer valve.
To adjust the temperature
A) Turn the adjustable knob (1) all the way to ‘+’.
B) Then turn the knob towards ‘-’ to the desired temperature.

Maintenance
The filter must be cleaned, and the dust bag periodically
replaced. This will prevent your vacuum from losing power and
will extend its lifespan.
Vacuum bag
Kardia Item number: 333107
Drainvac item number: SAC-31
Vacuum Filter
Kardia item number: 333108
Drainvac Item number:
FILT-DVI-30
The dust bag CANNOT be washed or emptied and must
be replaced. A reduction in power may be caused by
the bag being full. The bag should normally be replaced
every 2 to 4 months.
DO NOT CHANGE THE DUST BAG WHILE THE UNIT IS RUNNING.
Clean the filter whenever the dust bag is changed. The filter can
easily be cleaned in the washing machine but drying in the
dryer is not recommended. The filter must be COMPLETELY
DRY before re-use.
To avoid delay in using the vacuum unit while waiting for the
filter to dry, it is recommended that an extra filter be purchased
on www.kardia.no.
Kardia Standard User Manual / 16
Using the vacuum unit, without the filter or the dust bag,
will void the warranty. The unit should be used with a dust
bag because this will stabilize the efficiency of the unit and
reduce by 5 to 6 times the maintenance of your unit. This is
due to its large filtration surface. Order replacement bags
and filters on www.kardia.no.
Motor brushes
Beside the occasional external clean, it is recommended that
the motor brushes are inspected after 500 hours of use to
check for wear. Replace as necessary. This inspection should be
carried out on average once every 3 to 5 years. Contact service
for information about the correct time interval for this
maintenance procedure.

Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
Unit won’t
start up
1. Check if the LED is illuminated.
2. Check the circuit breaker in your electrical
panel.
3. Check the unit’s circuit fuse/breaker.
4. Check the 24-volt circuit, as follows:
Try to establish electrical contact in a wall inlet
between the two metal contacts with a metal
object (e.g. a coin).
If the unit starts, the suction hose is
defective.
If the unit doesn’t start, check to see if the
24-volt wires are properly connected to
the unit. Try to establish an electrical
contact between the two terminals of the
24-volt circuit on the unit with a metal
object (e.g. a screwdriver).
If the unit starts, a 24-volt wire is either cut
or disconnected from one of the wall
inlets.
If the unit won’t start up after these steps,
the printed circuit is defective.
Unit won’t
shut
down
Check the 24-volt circuit as follows:
Disconnect one of the two wires on the unit’s 24-
volt circuit.
If the unit shuts down, the problem could
be that two 24-volt wires are touching
each other somewhere or that the wall
inlet is defective.
If the unit doesn’t shut down, the printed
circuit is defective. Unplug the power cord.
Kardia Standard User Manual / 18
