BACKSPLASH INSTRUCTIONS
• CAUTION: The product is heavy and should be lifted by two people to avoid injury or
damage during installation.
• For Indoor Installation Only
• To clean your Stretta countertop, use a mild dish soap and warm water applied with a soft
cloth. Do not utilize abrasive cleaners or cleaning tools. Always test cleaning products in an
inconspicuous area first.
• Your Stretta countertop is manufactured with 100% pre-consumer recycled cores and
low- emitting, water-based adhesives.

Stretta Countertops – Installation Made Easy
With Stretta’s patent-pending installation process,
installing a countertop has never been faster or easier!
STEP 1 - PREPARE THE SURFACES

To achieve a perfect bond, it is important to wipe down
the backsplash and surface of your Stretta countertop
with a dry cotton cloth to remove any loose particles
or debris. (Figure 1-1)

Apply construction adhesive to the back and bottom
surfaces of the backsplash. (Figure 2-1)
Set the backsplash in place and apply pressure so that
the excess construction adhesive is squeezed out.
(Figure 2-2) Clean up the excess construction adhesive
immediately with warm water and a cotton cloth.
Due to variances in wall straightness, you may need
to take additional measures to secure your Stretta
backsplash. To further secure your backsplash to
the countertop, first drill pilot holes every 12 inches
through the underside of the countertop and into the
backsplash to prevent splitting. (Figure 3-1)
Then, using wood screws; screw into the pilot holes while
holding the backsplash in place. (Figure 3-2)
CAUTION: Take care when pre-drilling the pilot
holes and screws so that the bit or screw enters
straight into the surfaces and not at an angle,
otherwise you risk surface penetration.

Aplique adhesivo para construcción a las superficies
posterior e inferior de la placa antisalpicaduras (Figura
2-1)
Coloque la placa antisalpicaduras en su posición y
aplique presión para eliminar el exceso de adhesivo
para construcción. (Figura 2-2) Limpie el exceso de
adhesivo para construcción de inmediato con agua
tibia y un paño de algodón.
Debido a las variaciones en la rectitud de la pared, es
posible que deba tomar medidas adicionales para fijar
su placa antisalpicaduras Stretta. Para fijar aún mejor
su placa antisalpicaduras a la cubierta, primero taladre
agujeros guía cada 12 pulgadas a través de la parte
inferior de la cubierta y en la placa antisalpicaduras
para evitar que se parta. (Figura 3-1)
Luego, usando tornillos para madera, atornille a
través de los agujeros guía mientras sostiene la placa
antisalpicaduras en su lugar. (Figura 3-2)
PRECAUCIÓN: Tenga cuidado al perforar
previamente los agujeros guía y colocar los
tornillos para que la broca o el tornillo entren
de forma recta en las superficies, y no en ángulo.
De lo contrario, corre el riesgo de penetrar en la
superficie.
