Motorola Hint QA30 allows you to play music from CDs, or your old phone. Create playlists to use when riding the train or working out, and enjoy the customisable music playback settings to adjust to your own preferences. The music player can play the following types of audio files: AAC, AAC+, MP3, WAV, WMA, Real Audio G2/8/10.

transferring music to your phone
Note: You’ll need an
optional microSD
memory card installed
in your phone to use the
music player.
Note: Before you copy fi les
to your phone, make sure
the fi les are in a format that
the phone recognizes. Your
phone’s music player can
play the following types
of audio fi les: AAC, AAC+,
MP3, WAV, WMA, Real
Audio G2/8/10.

Attach a Motorola Original USB cable to the
micro USB port on your phone and to an
available USB port on your computer.

Select the “Sync” tab in Windows Media
Player 11.
You can listen to music from your favorite CDs or your old phone on your new Motorola Hint QA30.
Just load the music onto your computer, and then transfer the music from the computer to
your phone.
Set your phone to Mass Storage mode by
pressing Main Menu >Settings > USB >
Mass Storage. Plug your phone into your
computer using the USB data cable.
from a CD – Windows Media Player
Insert the music CD in your computer’s CD
drive and Launch Windows Media Player 11.
Copy the music CD to the media player
library (also called ripping the CD).
Drag and drop songs or playlists onto the
“Sync List” on the right side of the Windows
Media Player 11 screen.
When you fi nish, disconnect your phone
from the computer
Click “Start Sync” to copy the songs onto
the phone’s memory card.

from a MOTORAZR
V9m or a MOTOROKR
Z6m mobile phone and
install it in your Motorola
Hint™ QA30 phone. Just
move the music fi les
that are already stored
on the memory card to
|a different folder on
your memory card.

Insert the memory card into your
Motorola Hint QA30 phone, then turn
it on.
Have music already loaded on a memory card? You can load it onto your phone in a few simple steps.
Now change your connection settings
to mass storage. Press Main Menu >
Settings> USB > Mass Storage

Attach a Motorola Original USB cable to the
micro USB port on your phone and to an
available USB port on your computer.

On your computer, double click
My Computer Icon
and then Removable Disk icon
You will see a variety of folders,
double click
music folder icon.
Remember, you must tell your
computer you are going to disconnect
the phone from the USB port.
Copy all of the music fi les from this
folder and paste them into the My
music folder icon
.

You can now select and play the
music fi les with your phone’s
music player.

Launch Music player
Now that your music is loaded onto your phone, you can easily launch the music player and enjoy.

Your phone shows the Music Player menu
To activate your phone’s music player,
press the music player key.

To scroll through a menu or list, press
the navigation key up or down.

To select a highlighted option, press
the center key.
Music Controls
Your music player has all the same
controls you’d expect. Here’s how
to use them.
pause/play Press .
fast forward Press & hold right.
next song Press right.
rewind Press & hold left.
previous song Press left.
turn off music Press the power key .
player
Note: If you receive a
call during a song, the
music player pauses the
song until the call is over.
Note: While the music
player is active, your
phone may conserve
battery power by
turning off the display
and keypad backlights.
To turn the display and
backlights back on, press
any key

making a playlist
TIP: You can also search
for a specifi c song (by
title) using the search
bar at the bottom of the
screen.
TIP: When you name a
playlist, it must be fewer
than 32 characters and
cannot include these
special characters: / \ : *
? < > | “ !
Note: Your music player
includes a special playlist
named ringtones. You
can’t rename this playlist.
Songs added to this
playlist are not visible
in other categories (for
example, Genres) in
the music player. The
ringtones playlist initially
contains ringtones that
are preloaded on your
phone. You can still edit
this playlist, just like any
other playlist, to add or
remove new ringtones
that you purchase.
You can create your own sets of music—or playlists—to use when riding the train to work or
working out.

Press the music player key.

Select Playlists and Create Playlist.

Enter a name for your new playlist and
press Done.

With the new playlist highlighted on
the Playlists screen, press Options,
then select Add a Song. Scroll to a
desired song and press the center key.
Add as many songs as you like. When
you are fi nished Press Back.
Now you have a unique playlist
just for you listed in your music
library.

remove song from playlist
Launch the music player, scroll to
Playlists and press the center key.
removing a song
Changing a playlist is as easy as changing your mind.

Select the playlist you’d like to change
and press the center key.

Scroll to the song you want to remove
and press Options> Remove from Playlist.
Don’t worry, you are not deleting
the song from your library, your
just removing it from your playlist.
