Event Master Gen 1 and Gen 2 Power Supplies are

Event Master Gen 1 power supplies and Gen 2 power supplies are not interchangeable. Inserting a Gen 1 power
supply in a Gen 2 chassis or inserting a Gen 2 power supply in a Gen 1 chassis damages the power supply and
the system card and voids their warranties.
Cause
Event Master Gen 1 power supplies provide 760 W, Gen 2 power supplies provide 1100 W, and the interconnect
is different.
Solution
Use only Gen 1 power supplies in E2 Gen 1 and S3 chassis, and use only Gen 2 power supplies in E2 Gen 2
chassis. All Gen 1 chassis have a gray front, while the E2 Gen 2 chassis has a black front. This is the easiest
way to identify the Gen 1 chassis versus the Gen 2 chassis.
