Thank you for purchasing this product. The product you have purchased consists of the
following items. Check, with the following list, that your package is complete.
If you find any item either missing or damaged, please contact the sales representative you
purchased the product from.
Use of this product is restricted for the North America, and for use in other countries is
prohibited by the Radio Law.
1. About the Product
This product is a signal tower light sensor which can be attached to the signal tower of the
PATLITE Corporation. *
1 and remotely monitors the operation in the facilities. It is designed
to meet the IP65 standard and ensures waterproofing and dust-proofing. Adopting the
sub-giga band and low power consumption wireless EnOcean standard enables the prod-
uct to be powered by solar cell and an auxiliary battery, and realizes a wireless structure
and simple installation.
Graphical display and logging functions for the lighting status of the signal tower can be
added with the specified CONPROSYS controller.

3. Safety Precautions
Understand the following definitions and precautions to use the product safely.
Handling Precautions
DANGER
Do not use the product in locations exposed to a flammable or corrosive gas. It may cause
explosion, fire, electrical shock, or malfunction.
Do not allow the device to come into contact with foreign substances (metal particles,
flammable substances, liquids, etc.) through a connector terminal or openings. It may
cause can cause fire or electrical shock.
Do not place the product in an unstable location or use incomplete mountings. Otherwise,
it may cause the device to fall.
Be sure to connect the product to the stipulated power supply voltage. Connecting to a
different voltage might cause a fire or electrical shock.
If the product is used in a manner not specified by the manufacturer, the protection
provided by the equipment may be impaired.
The product is not intended for use in aerospace, space, nuclear power, medical
equipment, or other applications that require a very high level of reliability. Do not use
the product in such applications.
If using the product in applications where safety is critical such as in railways, automotive,
or disaster prevention or security systems, please contact your retailer.
CAUTION
It is expected that this product will be used indoors.
Do not use or store the product in a location exposed to extremely high or low
temperature that exceeds range of specification or susceptible to rapid temperature
changes.
e.g. - Exposure to direct sun - In the vicinity of a heat source
Do not use the product in extremely humid or dusty locations. It is extremely dangerous
to use the product with its interior penetrated by water or any other fluid or conductive
dust. If the product must be used in such an environment, install it on a dust-proof control
panel, for example.
Avoid using or storing the product in locations subject to shock or vibration that exceeds
range of specification.
When transporting the product, take suitable measures to avoid applying shock or
vibration directly to the product. (Shock resistance: 15G (11ms) below.
Use the product in the specified operating condition (temperature, humidity, vibration
and shock).
Do not use the product in the vicinity of devices that generate strong magnetic force or
noise. Such products will cause the product to malfunction (stop,).
Do not use or store the product in the presence of chemicals.
Do not modify the product. CONTEC will bear no responsibility for any problems, etc.,
resulting from modifying the product.
In the event of failure or abnormality (foul smells or excessive heat generation), contact
your retailer.
To clean the product, wipe it gently with a soft cloth dampened with either water or mild
detergent. Do not use chemicals or a volatile solvent, such as benzene or thinner, to
prevent the paint to be scraped or discolored. In addition, check and clean the sensor
window regularly to avoid malfunctions due to dirt on the window.
The USB receiver is inserted in the controller. Do not touch the USB receiver when the
controller is activated. Doing so may cause a failure or a damage.
Select a 3-meter or shorter extended cable when using the USB receiver remotely.
Do not touch the product or connectors with a wet hand to avoid electric shock.
The product cannot meet the IP65 if the battery cover is open. Keep the cover closed
when setting the product.
The specifications of the product are subject to change without notice for enhancement
and quality improvement. Even when using the product continuously, be sure to read the
manual in the CONTEC’s website and understand the contents.
When disposing of the product, follow the disposal procedures stipulated under the
relevant laws and municipal ordinances.
Regardless of the foregoing statements, CONTEC is not liable for any damages
whatsoever (Including damages for loss of business profits) arising out of the use or
inability to use the CONTEC product or the information contained herein.
FCC PART 15 Class A Notice
NOTE
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for
a Class A digital device, pursuant to part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits
are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial
environment.

and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instruction manual,
may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of
this equipment in a residential area is likely to cause harmful interference
in which case the user will be required to correct the interference at his

4. Initial settings
Step 1 Setting the Switch
Sensor information will be transmitted by turning on the PW.
Use the switches with a precision screwdriver.
When closing the battery cover, be careful not to compress the cable with
the cover.
* When replacing the battery, grip the battery connector and remove it.

Slide the switch to the left to turn on.
This starts up the product.
Step 2 Setting the Items
First, check the diameter of the signal tower and whether the tower has the buzzer or
not. Then, Set the holding ring and supporting parts to the product as described below.
Step2-1 How to set the holding ring (lower part).
* Select the correct ring size to match the diameter of the signal tower.
Step2-2 How to set the supporting parts.
* Check whether the tower has the buzzer or not.
The setting differs depending on the signal tower type.
Set the holding ring (upper part) to the supporting parts.
Step2-3 Setting the assembled parts instructed in Step2-2 to the product.
Pattern 1: Buzzer type
Align the section A of the supporting parts with the section B labeled " Buzzer type " on
the product and secure them.
Pattern 2: Normal type
Align the section A of the supporting parts with the section B labeled "Normal type" on
the product and secure them.
The place to set the supporting parts for each type.
Step 3 Setting the Product to the Tower
Step 3-1 Setting the product to the signal tower.

Step 4 Setting the Controller
Step 4-1 Double-check that the power of the controller is turned off.
Refer to the instructions below to set the SD card and the USB receiver into the
controller.
Step 4-2 Follow the instructions below to connect the computer, the controller, and the
power unit.
Step 4-3 Follow the procedure described below and set the network to make the IP
addresses as shown.
The product must set a unique IP address for the bold part (200 or 101) that is not used by
other devices on your network.
*If proxy is set to your PC, do not use the proxy.
1 Click the [Network & Internet] on [Windows Settings] screen.
2 Click the [Change adapter options] in [Network status].
3 Double-click the appeared [Ethernet]
4 Click the [Property] in [Ethernet Status] dialog box.
5 Double-click the [Internet protocol version 4(TCP/IPv4)] in [Ethernet Properties]
dialog box.
6 In the [Internet protocol version 4 (TCP/IPv4) property], set IP address and Subnet mask
as shown below.
Click the [OK] the [OK] the [Close] to close the dialog box and complete the
network setting.
7 Start the web browser on your computer. Enter IP address (10.1.1.101) of the controller
in the address bar, then press [Enter] key. The dialog box asking for the User name and
Password appears, enter them and click the [OK].
* For an actual operation, change User name and Password in [User name and
Password] from the Maintenance menu.
* After entering IP address and pressing [Enter] key, the “Security certificate” might
appear on the screen. Choose “Continue to this website”.
Step 4-4 On the web browser, go to "CONPROSYS Web Setting" - "Setting"- "Network" -
"Wired LAN", and set up wired LAN.
Enter the details (a), and click the Setbutton (b).
Time needs to be set daily for the CONPROSYS.
Go to "CONPROSYS Web Setting" - "Setting"- "Time".
Set the time on the "Local Time Setting" page displayed below.
Enter the present day and time, (or click the “Set the PC Time” button) and
click the "Update" button.
*You need to perform this setting whenever the CONPROSYS is powered OFF, then
powered ON again.
Step 4-5 Check whether the receiver (USB dongle) is identified by the controller.
From the Setting Menus, select and click the "Receiver Information".
If the "Receiver ID" and the "Receiver Version" are displayed, the receiver is identified by
the controller.
* If the receiver information is not displayed, it indicates that the receiver cannot be
identified properly. Check and confirm whether the receiver (USB dongle) is firmly inserted
into the CONPROSYS.
5. Monitoring Procedure
The following is the procedure to start monitoring of the facility with the factory defaults.

*If the signal power settings of yours are different from the above ones, change the
assigned condition.
Step 1 Assign the Transmitter
Step 1-1 Check the "ID" labeled on the side of the transmitter that performs monitoring.
Step 1-2 From the Setting Menus, select the "Transmitter Settings" and click the "Transmit-
ter Information".
Step 1-3 Click the "Add" button and open the "Transmitter Settings".
* If the transmitter information is not displayed, it indicates that the data are not received.
Check the transmitter again.
Step 1-4 Select the specified transmitter ID, and set the "Facility Name", then click the "Set"
button.
Step 1-5 You can see that the specified transmitter has been added.
* Repeat step 1-3 to 1-5 for as many transmitters to be set.
* The setting contents disappear when the power of the controller is turned off.
If you plan to use them again, go to Submenu, "Exit"-"Save", and click the "OK"
to save the contents.
Now, monitoring process will be activated.
Step 2 Perform Monitoring
From the main menu of the signal tower light sensor, click the items in the "monitoring screen ".
* The following monitoring images are displayed.
Refer to the Technical Manual on how to customize the monitoring images.
Condition monitoring (Andon)
This screen displays the running condition in real time of the facility for which monitoring
is set.
Condition Monitoring (Timeline Bars)
This screen displays the running condition of the facility for which monitoring is set in
chronological order on the Gantt chart.
Use the "SwitchGraph" button placed in the lower-right to check the current status of the
facility or the details of the running condition.
Transmitter Map Screen
This screen displays the transmitter map on the facility.
The sample map is registered upon the shipment.
Follow the steps described below and register your facility map for operations.
How to Register Map
1. From Monitoring Screens in the main menu, go to the "Graphical monitoring screen",
and click the "Editor" (C in Step2).
Click the map screen and select the imgOff in the "Property" tab.
2. Select "image" and upload the image file of your facility map.
3. Select the uploaded file and click the "OK" button.
(The example below is when "koujyou-1.jpg" file is uploaded as an image file of the
facility map.)

Cross-line Prevention Switch (m3)
Cross-line Prevention Switch (m3) is used to prevent lines from crossing by changing the
transmission cycle.
Defaults
Use this switch when lines are crossing
with other transmitters. The cross-line
might be removed somewhat.

Problem Detect Release Switch (m2) is used to detect the problems for the top light on the
signal tower.
Defaults
Perform detection at regular intervals.
When the top light of the signal tower
lights up, monitor the lighting status at
the present time.
This is the example when the 0400E74E is
selected for "Transmitter ID", and Facility-A
is selected for the "Facility Name".
Select this to view and edit the
condition monitoring
(Andon style group monitoring).
You can specify the display day or time
as you like. Moreover, seven previous
days before the displayed day can be
viewed simultaneously.
