LCC27 is the acronym for the Leisure Cylinder Connection Type 27. It is an evolution of the current
portable gas appliance Type 21 connection (commonly referred to as a POL connection). The LCC27
cylinder valves were implemented April 1, 2021 and gas appliances made after April 1, 2022 are
required to have a Type 27 connection. The LCC27 cylinder valve retains the POL valve’s internal
thread (allowing connection to appliances made prior to April 1 2022). The LCC27 adds right hand
threaded external ACME connection and a back check valve that must be engaged by having a
positive connection to the appliance hose before gas can flow (to prevent leakage when the valve is
open but the hose is not connected).
