Battery protection tab
Remove the tab to power the detector and trigger the connection to the main unit.
The detector operates with two AA LR6 alkaline batteries.
It detects when the batteries are low and alerts the user.
1
Detection probe
The detection probe must be positioned in the middle of the freezer compartment to ensure optimum
measurement. The freezer seal provides insulation around the cable and prevents loss of cold.
Warning: the body of the detector must not be placed in the freezer under any circumstances, because
this would render it inoperative.

Wall-mounting plate
To operate correctly, the detector must be mounted on its wall-mounting plate.
When the plate is properly mounted, the detector is clipped onto this mounting.
Check that it is properly fastened by listening for a "click" when it snaps into place.
The plate and detector must be placed high up, away from any risk of contact with water and
electricity.
Temperature and alarm thresholds
There are two temperature thresholds that can be selected: -12°C and -18°C.
To select the most appropriate temperature, refer to the number of stars indicating the performance
characteristics of the freezer:
*** maximum temperature -18°C, alarm threshold -12°C
**** maximum temperature -18°C and above, alarm threshold -18°C
When the freezer temperature exceeds the selected threshold, the detector triggers an alarm.
For the -18°C threshold, an alarm is sent each time the threshold is exceeded (-18°C and -12°C).

When sorting your waste, please observe the disposal
regulations in force. Please place waste in the facilities provided
for that purpose and with all due respect for the environment.
Note: Replacing the batteries with the wrong type of battery will
cause a risk of explosion. Dispose of used batteries in
accordance with instructions.
3. Battery replacement and wall mounting
Detector installation
Use double-sided adhesive strip or screws to secure
the plate to the wall, or double-sided adhesive strip
only on the freezer walls (they must never be drilled).
To mount the plate using screws: drill a hole in the
wall, install the wall plug, and insert the screw
supplied, leaving a 5-mm gap between the screw
head and the wall. Place the slot on the head of the
screw. The detector and plate cannot be flush-
mounted.
