OPERATION

1.Removetheprotectivecoverfromtheprobehead.
2.Turnthemeteronbypressingthe
ON/OFF
SET
button.
3.Placetheprobeheadintothesolutiontobemeasured.
4.ToinsureAutomaticTemperatureCompensation,
immersetheprobeheadandtemperaturesensor
completely.ForaccurateAutomaticTemperature
Compensation,thetemperaturesensormustreach
equilibriumwiththeliquidbeingmeasured,thiscould
takeseveralminutes.
5.Insurethatthereisadequatemovementoftheliquid
aroundthetipoftheprobehead(0.2-0.3metersper
secondminimum).Thiscanbeachievedbystirringthe
meterintheliquid.
Themeterwillautomaticallyselecttherangethatis
themostappropriateforthevaluebeingmeasured.To
manuallyselecttherange,pressandholdthe

forapproximatelythree(3)seconds(seethe“Range
ModeSelection”section).
6.Takethedesiredmeasurements.
7.Pressthe
ON/OFF

buttontoturnthemeteroff.
Topreservebatterylife,alwaysturnthemeteroffwhen

8.Rinsetheprobeheadwithdistilled/deionizedwaterand
replacetheprotectivecover.Alwaysreplacethe
protectivecovertopreventdamagetotheprobehead.
Ifnobuttonispressedfortwenty(20)minutes,themeter
willturnoffautomaticallytopreservebatterylife(seethe
“AutomaticShutoff”section).

Toinsureaccuracy:
–Selectaknownstandardwithavalueascloseas
possibletothevalueoftheunknownsample.
–Ifpossible,theknownstandardandunknown
sampleshouldbeatthesametemperature.Theideal
temperatureis25°C.
Previouscalibrationpointsareclearedwhenthemeteris
calibratedtoanewvalue.
