Operation description
When first turning the clock on it is defaulted to 12.00am and the date is set at
1st Jan 2002.
The clock should be placed near a window so it can pick up the MSF signal easier.
Once the MSF data has been captured the date and time will updated and the clock will
return to auto-run mode.
Press the time/mode button to go to the auto run mode when the RC receiving keeps
going.
The led icon flashes when MSF receiving is taking place, and goes solid when the
current time and date originates from the MSF signal.
Radio control function
Automatic receiving of atomic clock signal
Automatic RC receiving starts at every hour between 12:00am and 4:00am which
minimizes the chance of having the incorrect time when switching between summer and
standard time.
When the MSF receiving is being processed, the LED goes flashing.
The clock and date will be updated automatically when the LED goes solid, as the valid
signal has been captured.
Manual receiving of atomic clock signal
Press the Skip up/RCC button to start or stop the MSF signal receiving immediately.
The flashing LED indicates the RC receiving is being processed.
The clock and date will be updated with the LED solid when valid data has been
captured.
As Skip up/RCC button is pressed to stop the MSF receiving, the LED is turned off
immediately.
Using the radio
Select “ON using the Function selector.
Adjust the Volume control to a comfortable level.
Adjust the Tuning control to the required station.
The function selector will turn the radio off when switch to the off position.
For best FM reception, extend the wire aerial located at the back of the unit. Move it
around until you get the best reception.
There is a built in ferrite aerial for AM signals. Move or rotate your clock radio to obtain
the best reception.
Turn the Volume control located on the right side of your clock radio to set the volume
level.
Setting the clock Manually
Press and hold down the time/mode button, press skip up button to advance the clock by
1 min. To advance the clock faster hold the time/mode button and the skip up button
together, it will advance by 10min at a time.
If you need to go back hold down the time/mode button and press the skip DN button.
This will take you back 1min. If you need to go back faster hold the time/mode and the
skip DN button together, this will take you back 10min at a time.
Setting the Date
Preview/ set the day/ month/ year as below:

Hold the time button down and don’t release it, press the snooze button twice to get the
day of the month up. Still holding down the time/mode button press the skip up button to
set the correct day.
Remember still hold down the time/mode button and press the snooze button again will
bring the month up. Again still holding down the time/date button press skip up to change
to the correct month.
Press the snooze button once more (still holding down the time/mode button) to bring up
the year. Press the skip up button whilst still holding the time/mode button down to
change the year, if you hold down the skip up button it will advance by 10years at a time.
To review the day and date hold down the time/mode button and press the snooze
button. This will show the day, press again (still holding the time/mode button) to check
month and again for the year.
To set alarm mode
You can set 2 alarms on this radio but when the switch for AL1 + AL2 is in the middle you
will not be able to set either alarm.
Select the alarm by setting the switch to either AL1 or 2, hold down the alarm button and
press skip up to advance by 1min or hold down to advance by 10min.
Make sure the on/off switch on the left hand side of the clock is switched to auto as the
alarm will not go off otherwise.
You can change the alarm settings to go off daily, only weekdays or just weekends.
To do this hold down the alarm button and press snooze, press snooze again to select the
type of alarm as shown below.
To use the radio as the alarm set the switch on the left side to on.
Adjust the tuning control to the station you require and adjust the volume to a suitable
level.
Set the switch on the left side back to Auto
Press Alarm button and Snooze button to review the type of the alarm being reviewed.
Press again Alarm button and Snooze button to select the desired type of the alarm as
follows:

Whenever there is a change in any of the alarm setting, the currently active alarm, if any,
is terminated immediately.
As the system returns to auto-run mode from any alarm setting with Function selector is
set at ON”/ “AUTO”, the system will compare the clock with the two alarms
immediately.
Snooze
The snooze button will stop the alarm temporarily, but it will come back on after 9mins
To stop the alarm just set the switch to off on the left hand side.
Sleep mode.
To set the sleep mode press and hold down the sleep button, this will bring up the default
time of 0:59 provided that the clock is switched to auto.
To change the sleep time, hold down the sleep button and press the skip up button to
advance by 1min.Holding down both buttons at the same time will advance the time by
10min.
The sleep time can be set within 0:01 and 1:59.
The sleep mode is cancelled automatically when the following occurs:
1. An active alarm starts
2. The sleep timer has elapsed
3. The snooze button is pressed
Caution
Do not cover ventilation holes on the radio
Do not put near naked flames
Do not get wet
