Sonance Sonamp ASAP2 is a two-source audio switcher with a built-in stereo amplifier for the second source. It allows you to share one set of speakers between an amplified audio system and a local source, such as a TV or computer. The ASAP2 SAT has a large, built-in 50 watt per channel stereo amplifier, and it is configuration friendly, featuring multiple choices of automatic switching and current sensing. It also has a line level A/V pass-through, main speaker pass-through, and trigger-mode via configurable dip-switch controls.

Share one set of speakers between an amplified audio system and a local source.
Allows automated switching from distributed audio system to a local source (TV, Computer etc).
The default, or A input is for the remote (main) music system that will play whenever the Local
source is off or muted
• Large, built-in 50 watt per channel stereo amplifier (@ 8 ohms)
Configuration friendly: featuring multiple choices of automatic switching and current sensing.
• Line level A/V pass-through (basic module)
• Main speaker pass-through occurs when ASAP2 SAT is off
• Trigger-mode via configurable dip-switch controls: Audio, Video, Current sensing and External
voltage (5 to 24 volts AC or DC)
• Auto-triggers can be bypassed for manual (front panel power switch) activation or controlling
with a switched outlet
• 12 VDC control output
• Two pair of speaker output terminals
SmartAmp Technology: Provides a module bay for future upgradability, greatly increasing
the flexibility of the ASAP2 SAT and making it compatible with new protocols. Slide-in
modules can be changed in seconds on the job site. Basic Module included.
• SmartModule bay allows for installation of one module into rear of unit for application-specific
usage of the ASAP2 SAT, as well as future upgrades
• Basic module (included) allows line level or speaker level local input with audio, video, external
voltage (5 to 24 volts AC or DC) or AC current sensing of local input
• LR1 module when available receives output from a Sonance LS1 Balanced Line Sender. This
combination allows long line level audio runs (up to 500 feet) and cancels out noise from the local
source to the ASAP2 SAT
• AL1 module (when available)
allows two local sources (default
and sensed) to be switched with
the main audio. This module has
its own RCA output, 12VDC
output (sensed), trigger sensitivity
and B > A switch back time
adjustment
• Additional Modules will be
introduced. Watch for them

A Pathway to Installations
SONAMP® ASAP2 SAT
Automatic two-source audio switcher with built-in stereo
amplifier for second source.
ASAP2 APPLICATIONS
Ease of Design and Installation:
• Low profile design uses only 1 rack space
• Rack mount version available
• X-shaped cutout holes on the bottom allow the unit to be hung on any flat surface. This enables the
ASAP2 to be mounted and hidden behind the installation
• Front mounted local source volume adjustment (L & R), “return to main system” delay adjustment
and Audio/Video trigger sensitivity adjustment
• AC current sensing outlet on rear panel with front mounted AC trigger control adjustment
• Audio muting bypass switch. Set this switch to ON if using the AC trigger to minimize thumps or
pops from television audio outputs
Input Triggers:
• Current Sensing and External triggers (5 to 24Volts AC or DC) on main unit allows for automatic
switching from speaker level to the local line level source connected to the SmartModule
Audio/Video Sensing connections allow for automatic switching from speaker level to local source from
a composite video signal (TV etc.) feed to the SmartModule
Applications:
Basic Module (included) provides automatic switching between two sources (see diagram above)
LINE SPKR
LINE SPKR
• AL1 Module provides automatic switching between two line level sources
LR1 Module allows for long line level runs up to 500 feet without added noise allowing the
ASAP2SAT to be installed in a remote location away from a line level source.
(Note: Requires the Sonance LS1 sending unit, SKU # 90-0491)
