instructions are part of this product. They contain important
information on safety, usage and disposal. Before using the
product, please familiarise yourself with all operating and safety
instructions. Use the product only as described and for the range
of applications specified. Please also pass these operating
instructions on to any future owner.

Basic safety instructions

To ensure safe operation of the appliance, follow the safety
guidelines set out below:
The voltage of the power supply must match the specifica-
tions on the rating plate of the appliance.
To avoid potential risks, arrange for a defective appliance to
be checked and, if required, repaired by qualified
technicians, or contact customer service.
Arrange for defective power plugs and/or power cords to
be replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or
by our customer service department to avoid the risk of
injury.
Pull only on the plug itself when unplugging the appliance,
never on the power cord.
Do not kink or pinch the power cord, and run the power
cord so that it will not come into contact with hot surfaces
and so that people will not step or trip on it.

Pull the power plug before cleaning and after each use.
Always unwind the power cord fully before turning on the
appliance and do not use an extension cord.
Never touch the power cord or power plug with wet hands.
Never use the appliance near water in bathtubs, showers,
sinks, or other containers. Proximity to water constitutes a
risk even when the appliance is turned off.
Under no circumstances should the appliance be immersed
in liquids nor should liquids be allowed to penetrate the
housing.
Do not expose the appliance to humidity and do not use it
outdoors. If any liquid gets into the housing, disconnect the
appliance from the power socket immediately and have it
repaired by a qualified technician.
Do not open the appliance housing. If the appliance is
defective, have it repaired by an authorized technician only.
Do not use the appliance if it shows visible signs of damage,
has fallen or leaks water. Arrange for it to be repaired by
qualified specialists.
This product is not intended for use by persons (including
children) with reduced physical, sensory or mental
capabilities or lacking experience and knowledge unless
supervised or instructed in safe product use by a person
responsible for their safety. Children should be supervised to
ensure they do not play with the product.
Cleaning and maintenance must not be carried out by
children unless they are supervised.

Never look directly into the UV-C lamp. UV radiation can
damage your eyes and skin!
Never use the appliance on people or animals! UV radiation
can damage eyes and skin!
The bactericidal ultraviolet rays of the UV-C lamp on the
underside of the appliance are harmful to eyes and skin.
Never expose yourself, other persons, or animals to direct or
reflected radiation. In case of exposure to the radiation, seek
medical attention immediately.
Make sure that the safety switches of the UV-C lamp are not
blocked.
Keep animals, hair, jewelry, loose clothing, fingers, and all
other parts of the body away from the suction opening of
the appliance in order to prevent accidental suction. Turn the
appliance off immediately if it attaches onto any body part
or object.
Do not touch the vibration head during operation.

Ensure that the connected power cord is not a tripping
hazard.
Never allow children to use the appliance unattended.
Allow the UV-C lamp to cool down sufficiently after use.
Otherwise, there is a risk of burns.
Never place your hand under the appliance while it is still
in operation.
Use only as described in this manual. Use only manufacturer’s
recommended attachments.
Do not pull or carry by cord, use cord as a handle, or pull
cord around sharp edges or corners.
Do not allow to be used as a toy. Close attention is necessary
when used by or near children.
Do not use without dust bag and/or filters in place.

Do not insert anything into the openings of the appliance
and make sure that they are not blocked.
Make sure that the ventilation openings on the sides of the
appliance are not blocked.
To avoid a fire during operation, do not cover the appliance.
Do not use the appliance in rooms containing highly
flam mable substances or toxic or explosive vapors.
In case of fire, do not extinguish the appliance with water.
Asphyxiate flames with a fireproof blanket or use a suitable
fire extinguisher.

Do not use the appliance to vacuum up the following items
combustible or flammable substances
glowing embers, burning cigarettes, matches, etc.
liquids or wet substances (e.g. wet carpet cleaner)
very fine dust (e.g. concrete dust), ash, or toner
sharp, hard objects (e.g. bits of broken glass)
Do not place or lay any heavy objects on the product,
power plug, or power cord.
Do not attempt to lubricate the rollers with lubricant or oil.
This would cause more dust and dirt to stick to the rollers.
Do not clean the appliance with aggressive, chemical or
abrasive cleaning agents. They could damage it.

Important cord information
This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the
other). To reduce the risk of electric shock, there is only one way
this plug is intended to fit into a polarized outlet. If the plug does
not completely fit into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not
fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not attempt to modify the
plug in any way.

Intended use
The appliance is intended exclusively for killing bacteria and
removing dust, germs, and dust mites. It is suitable for use on
mattresses, bed sheets, blankets, upholstered furniture, and the
like. It may only be used indoors and in private households. Any
other use is deemed improper.
The appliance is not intended for use in commercial or industrial
environments. The manufacturer accepts no responsibility for
damage caused by improper use or repairs, unauthorized
modifications, or the use of unapproved replacement parts. The
risk is borne solely by the user.

If the delivery is incomplete or damage has occurred as a
result of defective packaging or during transport, contact the

Remove all parts of the appliance and the operating
instructions from the packaging.
Remove all packaging material from the appliance.

Safety switches
The appliance has two safety switches 0 on the left and right of
the underside of the appliance. The UV-C lamp 8 only switches on
when the vibration button w is pressed if both safety switches 0
are pressed simultaneously. This deactivates the automatic switch-
off of the UV-C lamp 8. This happens automatically when the
switched-on appliance is placed on a level surface (fig. A).

If the safety switches lose contact with the surface, the automatic
switch-off function is activated and the UV-C lamp 8 turns off
(Figs. B and C).

Only operate the appliance when it has been properly assembled.
This is the only way to avoid the dangers of UV radiation.
Use this appliance only as described in these operating instructions.

Use the appliance only if it is completely and correctly as-
sembled. The dust container 3 and the dust filter 4 must be
inserted correctly and undamaged. If dirt gets into the appli-
ance motor, it could cause motor damage.
Make sure that the safety switches of the UV-C lamp 8 on the
underside of the appliance are not blocked.
Test the appliance on a small, unobtrusive spot first.
Plug the power plug into a properly installed, easily accessible
wall outlet.
Place the appliance flat on the surface to be cleaned.

Press the On/Off switch 2 to turn on the appliance. Make
sure the On/Off switch 2 clicks entirely into place. The
appliance begins vacuuming.
Press the vibration button w to activate the vibration head 7.
The vibration shakes up the surface to be cleaned and the
swirled up dust is sucked in through the suction opening 9.
Pressing the vibration button w also turns on the UV-C lamp 8.
Move the appliance evenly over the surface to be cleaned.
After vacuuming, press the On/Off switch 2 to turn the
appliance off.
Disconnect the power plug from the socket.
Usage recommendations
Always clean mattresses from both sides.
New mattresses should be cleaned once a month. Older
mattresses should initially be cleaned daily for one week.
Afterwards, cleaning should take place once a month.
Cleaning

Before cleaning, disconnect the power plug from the power
socket. Otherwise, there is a risk of electric shock.
DAMAGE TO THE APPLIANCE!
Do not use abrasive, aggressive, or chemical cleaning agents.
They can damage the surface and also lead to irreparable
damage to the appliance.
Only clean the appliance with a soft cloth, slightly dampened
with water.
Empty the dust container 3 after each use of the appliance.
The dust filter 4 must also be cleaned regularly to avoid
overloading the motor.

Emptying dust container
Pull the dust container 3 upward out of the appliance (Fig. D).

Reach into the opening of the dust filter 4 and pull it out of
the dust con tainer 3 (Fig. E).

Remove the cover of the dust container 3 (Fig. F).

Empty the dust container 3.
If necessary, wipe the dust container 3 and the recess for the dust
con tainer 3 with a dry cloth.
Also wipe the cover of the dust container 3 with a dry cloth.
Replace the cover of the dust container 3. Make sure that the
cover is completely pushed into the dust container 3 and
closes it tightly.

Cleaning the dust filter
After you have removed the dust filter 4 from the dust
container 3, place the dust filter 4 in a plastic bag. Close the
plastic bag and knock the dust filter 4 out carefully.
Wait until the dust in the plastic bag has settled and then
remove the dust filter 4 from the plastic bag. Close the plastic
bag again and dispose of it afterwards.
If necessary, you can rinse out the dust filter 4 with fresh cold
or lukewarm water. Allow the dust filter 4 to dry out completely.
After cleaning, replace the dust filter 4 in the dust container 3
so that it is firmly seated.
Replace the empty dust container 3 with the inserted dust
filter 4 in the recess for the dust container 3 on the appliance.
Cleaning the UV-C lamp
RISK OF INJURY!
The UV-C lamp 8 gets hot during use. Allow the UV-C lamp 8
to cool down sufficiently after use. Otherwise, there is a risk of
burns.
Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw on the cover e of the
UV-C lamp 8 and remove the cover e.
Wipe the UV-C lamp 8 with a dry cloth.
Be careful not to touch the UV-C lamp 8 with your fingers.
Put on the cover e and secure it again with the screw.
Storage
Store the appliance in a clean and dry place away from direct
sunlight.

Disposal
Disposal of the appliance
Remove the UV-C lamp 8 before disposing of the appliance
and dispose of it separately from the appliance.
Electrical devices may not be thrown away as part of normal
household trash. If you can no longer use your electrical device,
dispose of it in accordance with the legal provisions applicable in
your state. This will ensure that old electrical devices are recycled
and environ mental pollution is kept to a minimum. Further
information about disposal is available on the Internet at www.
epa.gov.
Disposal of the packaging
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally friendly manner.
Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging
material components for disposal if necessary. The packaging
material is labelled with abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with
the following meanings:
1–7: Plastics,
20–22: Paper and cardboard,
80–98: Composites.
Dispose of all packaging materials in an environmentally friendly
manner.
