Motorola V360: Stay connected and entertained with a feature-packed mobile phone. Using Your Phone
Speakerphone
To turn speakerphone
on / off, while on a call press
under the word Speaker.
Note: When using
speakerphone, the call will
remain active even if you
close the flip.
Voicemail
To set up voicemail:
Press and hold the 1 key
and follow the tutorial.
To access voicemail:
Press and hold the 1 key
or open the flip and
select CALL.
To reset password to last
4-digits of phone number:
At main screen, type
#PWD# or #793#
and press
Basic Call Functions
To make a call:
Type a number and press
To answer a call:
Open the flip or press
if the flip is open.
To end the call:
Close the flip or press
Phone Book
To add a contact:
1. At main screen, dial the
number and select Store.
2. Type the name of the contact
and select OK.
3. Select Done.
To access phone book:
At main screen, press
OR
press > Ph.book.

5. Gently push cover
onto battery and
slide into place.
8. To power on, press and hold
for five seconds.
1. Push here to detach SIM.
2. Press the back cover
and slide away the cover.
Remove the battery if it is
in the phone.
3. Align angled corner
of SIM with angled
corner of SIM card
holder. Secure SIM
with clip.
4. Align gold battery
contacts and insert
battery.
6. Plug the travel charger
into your phone and into
an electrical outlet.
Text Messaging
Text Entry Modes
Your phone supports four text modes: iTAP Predictive Mode, TAP Manual Mode, Symbol
Mode, and Number Mode.
iTAP allows you to type words with only one keystroke per letter. The
phone interprets what word you want. For example, to type “Hey,” you
press 4, 3, and 9.
TAP allows you to type letters by pressing the key labeled with the letter
you want until the correct letter displays. For example, to type “Hey,” you
press 4 twice, then 3 twice, then 9 three times.
Number and Symbol allow you to insert numbers and symbols.
7. When your phone
indicates Charge
Complete, disconnect the
travel charger from your
phone.

seconds for your phone to
indicate on the screen that
it is charging.
Note: The phone can
be used when not fully
charged.
Send a text message
1. At main screen, press the Up Navigation
key.
2. Select Create Message > New Text Msg.
3. Type your message and select
Send To. See TIPS.
4. Scroll to a contact, [New Number], or
[New Email Address].
5. Press the Center Select key to select
the contact(s). If you selected [New
Number] or [New Email Address],
then type the phone number or e-mail
address.
6. Select Send.
Read a text message
Your phone notifies you and displays
when you have a new message. To read, select Read.

To switch between text entry modes,
while you are typing a message, press
# until you see the desired mode.
To add a space, press *.
To insert numbers, press the desired

Memory Card
The V360 comes with a removable 64 MB Trans Flash
memory card and an SD card adapter.
Insert and remove memory card
1. Remove the battery cover on the back of phone.
2. Hold the phone with the battery facing towards you.
3. Turn the memory card so the arrow points toward the
slot and the angled side is on the left.
4. Press the memory card until it clicks into place.
To remove, press the card into the phone and
release. The card should pop out.
Change storage location
The two storage locations where you can save content
are the phone memory and the memory card.
1. While in the Pictures, Videos, or Sounds menu, press
2. Select Switch Storage Device.
3. Select either Phone or TRANS (for memory card).
TIPS
If you have a memory card in your phone, then pictures
& videos are saved to it by default.
Downloaded contents are saved to the phone’s memory by default.
The phone displays for items saved to the phone’s memory.

Picture Messaging
The V360 comes with an integrated camera that allows you to capture moments
of your life and share them with family and friends. To take and send:
1. At main screen, press
2. Frame your subject and select Capture > Store.
3. Select Send in Message.
4. Type a message if desired and select Send To.
5. Scroll to a contact, [New Number], or [New Email
Address].
6. Press the Center Select key to select
contact(s). If you select [New Number]
or [New Email Address], then type the
phone number or e-mail address.
7. Select Send.
Digital Audio Player
With the V360, you can download music files to your computer
and then transfer those files from your computer to the memory
card that is included with your phone. After you have transferred
files to the card, you can play music on your phone.
Copy music files to memory card
If you have Windows 2000, you must also have the latest Service
Pack (available) from Microsoft to transfer files from your computer
to the memory card.
1. Insert the memory card into your
phone.
2. Plug the USB cable into your phone
and plug the other end into an
active USB port on your computer.
3. On your computer’s desktop, double-click the
My Computer icon. You can also click the Start
button and click Explore > My Computer.
4. Double-click Removable Disk > Mobile > Audio.
5. Navigate to the music file on your computer and
drag and drop the file into the Audio folder.
Play music on your phone
1. Make sure that you have downloaded
music to the memory card and the
card is in your phone.
2. At main screen, press the Smart key
on side of phone to open the Digital
Audio Player.
3. Select Songs.
4. Select the file and select Play.
Create a playlist
Playlists allow you to group favorite
songs for continuous music.
1. Make sure that you have downloaded music to
the memory card and the card is in your phone.
2. At main screen, press the Smart key on side of
phone to open the Digital Audio Player.
3. Select Playlists > [Create Playlist].
4. Type a name for the playlist and select
Ok > Done.
5. At the Add Songs menu, scroll to a song you
wish to add and select Tick.
6. Repeat Step 5 to continue adding songs to
your playlist. When you are finished, select
Done.

Bluetooth®
The V360 comes with Bluetooth technology, which is a wireless
technology that enables data connection between your phone
and Bluetooth wireless headsets and other devices (desktop
computers, wireless telephones, electronic organizers, and
printers).
Prepare your Bluetooth wireless headset
Make sure your Bluetooth headset is fully charged and then put
your Bluetooth headset in Pairing Mode. See your Bluetooth®
headset manual for more information.
Turn on Bluetooth and pair with headset
1. At main screen, press > Settings > Connection >
Bluetooth Link > Setup.
2. Scroll to Power and select Change.
3. Select On.
4. Select Back > Handsfree > [Look for Devices].
Your phone looks for your Bluetooth headset and displays it.
5. Scroll to your headset and select it.
6. Select Yes to bond.
7. Enter the passkey 0000 and select Ok.
If the above passkey does not work, please refer to
your Bluetooth headset instructions.
Test and use
1. Place the Bluetooth headset over your ear.
2. On your phone, dial the number you want to call and press
If your phone and headset are successfully paired, you will hear ringing
on the headset. For daily use, make sure that the Bluetooth headset is fully charged.

TIPS
Your phone cannot play music files
that have a bit rate higher than 192
kbps.
You cannot use the Digital Audio
Player when your phone is
connected to the computer.
Sound files will not play while your
phone is in vibrate or silent mode.
TIPS
To set up your phone to receive
picture messages, you must first
send a picture message to an
e-mail address or to a picture
message capable phone.
To insert symbols in a message,
press the
