Quick Start Guide
I. Overview
The Digital Pen Device, with a pressure sensitive digital pen, is suitable for applications such
as handwriting/scripting, signature, drawing, and so on, and enables the user to control a
personal computer in place of a mouse or other pointing device.
The features of this Digital Pen Device include:
1. Mouse functions - Digital Pen can replace a mouse in controlling the cursor on a
computer screen and scrolling, with definable button functions.
2. Ergonomics - Using a pen is completely natural and can reduce the possibilities of
RSI (Repetitive Strain Syndrome) such as Carpal Tunnel.
3. Handwriting - Digital Pen enables the handwriting functions provided by operating
systems such as Windows Vista, Windows 7, and applications such as Office 2007.
4. Drawing - With the capability to sense pressure applied at the pen tip (up to
8192levels), Digital Pen is required to realize full functionality of professional
drawing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, Corel
Painter, and so on.
5. The introduction of the battery-free pen - The Pen does not require a battery and
it has an eraser function at its end.
II. Important - Warnings and Safety Instructions
1. Do not place the device near the heat sources such as radiators, fire, stoves, light
candles, and other apparatus that produces heat.
2. Keep it dry. Do not allow the device to get wet or expose to moisture/rain, else it increases
the occurrences of fire or shock.
3. Use only those accessories supplied by FINGERS.
4. Refer all servicing to qualified personnel. Servicing is required when the device has been
damaged in any way. Any evidence of any attempt to open and/or alter the device,
including any scratch, peeling, puncturing, or removal of any of the labels, will void the
Limited Warranty.

VI. Using Digital Pen
Digital Pen functions as a three-button mouse.
Pen Tip: A left button
Pen Button 1: A right button
Pen Button 2: A middle button or eraser toggle
a. Cursor Movement
Hold Digital Pen as you would a regular one. The Tablet
senses the Pen up to 1/4” (about 5 mm) above its surface. We
recommend not to let the Pen touch the Tablet surface when
you simply want to move the cursor position.
b. Drag and Drop
(1) Move the cursor to the object you wish to drag and press PenTip against the Tablet
surface.
(2) Move Digital Pen while keeping Pen Tip in touch with the Tablet surface to drag the
object until the object is at the desired location.
(3) Lift Pen Tip above the Tablet surface to drop the object.
c. Single “Click” with Pen Tip
Touch the surface of Digital Tablet briefly with Pen Tip and lift immediately. This action,
also referred to as “tapping,” is equivalent to “single clicking” the left button of a regular
mouse.
d. Double “Click” with Pen Tip
Tap the surface of Digital Tablet twice in a roll with Pen Tip and try to tap at the same
spot. This action is equivalent to “double clicking” the left button of a regular mouse.
Note: When you tap the Tablet surface the first time, make sure Pen Tip does not move
while it touches the surface to avoid inducing a drag and drop action.
e. Calling up Context Menu with Pen Button 1
This is equivalent to using the right button of a regular mouse to call up context menu.
1) Without touching tablet surface, move Pen Tip so the cursor is at the desired object
on the screen.
2) Tap the tablet surface to call up the context menu.
3) Press and hold Pen Button 1.
4) When the context menu shows up, move Pen Tip to move cursor to the desired
action item in the menu.
5) Tap the selection.
f. Digital Pen & LED Indicator
When you hover Digital Pen over Active Area, LED Indicator will blink slowly. This
indicates that Digital Tablet has detected Digital Pen. Blinking stops as soon as Pen Tip
moves out of Active Area or is lifted up too high (more than about 1/4” or 5mm).
When Digital Pen is detected, moving Digital Pen around within Work Area will move
the cursor on the screen correspondingly.
g. Pressure Sensitivity
When you draw with Digital Pen on Tablet, the Tablet senses the pressure you apply
and sends that information to the application controlling Digital Tablet. The application
program can then use this pressure information to simulate various effects of soft tip
pens such as a paint brush. This is known as Pressure Sensitivity function.
It is important to know that pressure sensitivity requires the support of an application
program. For a program that supports pressure sensitivity, such as Photoshop, this
feature may sometimes be inadvertently turned off.
VII. How to replace the Pen tip
VIII. Driver / Software Installation
You may start using Digital Tablet Device after you connect USB Connector of Tablet with
the PC. You may control the cursor position using Digital Pen without driver installed. Driver
Software needs to be installed to control the pressure sensitivity.
Note: For best results, we recommend direct USB connection for seamless operation and
against using a USB Hub or an external USB port.
For Windows
1. Download the driver from this link.
2. Once downloaded from website, unzip the folder.
3. Click on “Driver Setup” to start the installation process.
4. Follow the instruction steps to complete the installation.
5. To connect FINGERS ArtisticSoul 806/504 Graphic Tablet, insert the USB
connector to any free USB port on your computer.
6. Restart the computer. On restarting the system, Tablet Icon ( ) appears in
System Tray, and you can start to experience the convenience of Digitizer
functionality with ease.
For macOS
1. Download the driver from this link.
2. Once downloaded from website, unzip the folder.
3. Click on “Driver Setup” to start the installation process.
4. Follow the instruction steps to complete the installation.
5. For installation of the software, please note that macOS system requires a set of
username and password during installation or un-installation. Enter your
password and click “OK” to continue.
6. When the installation is completed, click “Close” to exit the installation process.
Post it, do restart your system.
IX. Verifying Installation
Right after you connect the Graphic Tablet to the computer with USB connection, or when
you power up the computer with Pen Tablet already connected - You can see the Pen Tablet
icon shows in the system tray (lower right corner of the screen in Windows OS; on top
right corner in macOS). When you tap the digital pen on the Activity, you will see the LED
light on Pen Tablet, indicating that it is ready to use; and on clicking this icon calls up Tablet
Configuration Panel to test the pressure sensitivity.
Note: If you are unable to see icon in System Tray, it implies that the installation was
unsuccessful, unless the Pen Tablet has been disconnected, or you have disabled the icon
explicitly using Tablet Configuration Panel.
X. Care and Maintenance
1. Use soft cloth to clean the surface.
2. Do not use any chemicals, solvents, or cleaning solutions containing alcohol, ammonia,
or abrasives.
3. Do not allow any liquid to enter any of the openings.
