Intended Use
The external operation panel is intended for the wired remote
control of the SQUIX, MACH 4S, EOS2/EOS5 and
HERMES Q series printers.
Function

Attention!
For using the external operation panel the
printer rmware version 5.25 or higher is
needed.
The external operation panel has the same functionality as the
internal control panel of the printer. Users are free to choose
whether to operate the printer on the external panel or on the
one integrated in the device. The contents of both displays are
identical and can be displayed in portrait or landscape mode.
The external operation panel has an USB host interface (1) to
connect an USB memory stick or the service key.

Attention!
To access the USB memory stick on the ex-
ternal operation panel no other USB memory
stick may be connected to the printer.
Mounting
For the connection the following cables are provided:
• 5907718 Connecting cable, length 1,8 m
• 5907730 Connecting cable, length 3 m
• 5907750 Connecting cable, length 5 m

Attention!
The use of other cables can cause lost of
function.
► Connect a suitable cable (6) to the USB device interface
(4) of the external operation panel and to one of the USB
host interfaces (5) on the rear side of the printer. The cable
may be connected during operation. The external panel
will be detected by the printer and can be used after a few
seconds.
