1 Mounting using mounting kit 1

Mounting kit 1: 1

T

he mounting kit is available as mounting kit 1a without protection for the optics cover

and as mounting kit 1b with protection for the optics cover.

Tool required:

•

TX20 Torx wrench

1.

Mak

e sure that the mounting bracket 1 is oriented correctly. See the symbol on

the mounting bracket.

2.

Mount the mounting bracket 1 on the mounting surface.

3.

Push the safety laser scanner onto the mounted mounting bracket 1.

4.

Use all 4 supplied M5 screws 3 to fix the safety laser scanner on the mounting

bracket 1.

5. Tighten the M5 screws. Tightening torque: 4.5 Nm to 5.0 Nm.

2 Mounting using mounting kit 2

Y

ou will also need mounting kit 1a or 1b for mounting using mounting kit 2.

Mounting kit 2 consists of two parts: holding plate 6 and alignment bracket 4.

The mounting kit is available as mounting kit 2a with low depth and as mounting kit 2b

with greater depth. Mounting kit 2b is recommended if the system plug is being

mounted on the back of the safety laser scanner and angled plug connectors are being

used.

Tool required:

Mak

e sure that the holding plate 6 is oriented correctly. See the symbol on the

holding plate.

2.

Mount the holding plate 6 on the mounting surface. Either use the two outer drill

holes à or the two drill holes with countersink ß. Also use the drill hole in the

holding tab 9.

Procedure when using the drill holes with countersink ß:

Loosen the screws 7 and remove the alignment bracket 4 from the holding

plate 6.

w

Mount the holding plate 6 on the mounting surface.

w

Make sure that the alignment bracket 4 is oriented correctly. See the symbol

on the alignment bracket.

w

Push the alignment bracket 4 back onto the centering pin 8 and fix it on the

holding plate 6 using the M4 screws, washers and spring rings 7.

Make sure that the mounting bracket 1a 1 or 1b is oriented correctly. See the

symbol on the mounting bracket.

4.

Use the supplied M4 screws, washers and spring rings5 to fix mounting bracket

1a 1 or 1b on the alignment bracket4.

5. Only with mounting kit 2b: an additional stabilization screw is needed if there are

stricter requirements on vibration/shock resistance. Turn the stabilization screw

with washers and spring rings á into the thread hole of the holding plate 6

through the slot of the alignment bracket 4.

6.

Push the safety laser scanner onto the mounted mounting bracket 1.

Use all 4 supplied M5 scr

ews 2 to fix the safety laser scanner on the mounting

bracket 1.

8.

Tighten the M5 screws 2. Tightening torque: 4.5 Nm to 5.0 Nm.

9. Align the safety laser scanner. You can use a slotted screwdriver (blade width

8 mm) for fine alignment.

10. Tighten the M4 screws. Tightening torque: 2.2 Nm to 2.5 Nm.
