GROUNDFAULTCIRCUITINTERRUPTER
(GFCI)
This pressurewasher is providedwith a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI)built into
the plug of the powersupply cord. This device provides additional protection from the
risk of electric shock. Shouldreplacement ofthe plug or cord becomenecessary,use
only identical replacementparts that include GFCIprotection.
This unit is equippedwith a GroundFault Circuit Interrupter (GFCI).Whenconnecting
the GFCIto the receptacle, the indicator should appear red. If the indicator is not red,
depressthe RESETbutton on the GFCIuntil the indicator appearsred. Ifthe indicator
doesnot appear red, pleaseseeSectiontitled "Troubleshooting" for more information.

Operatethe pressure washer at no morethan the fluid pressure
ratedfor the pressure washer. Never run the pressure washer
withouta water supply. Runningthe unit withouta water supply
will cause irreparable damageto the unit.
Make surethat the water supplyyou usefor the pressure
washer is notdirty,sandy,and doesnot holdany corrosive
chemical products. Usinga dirty water supplywill compromise
the long lifeofthe pressure washer.
CAUTION- The pressurewasher can be usedfor a varietyof
applicationsincludingwashing cars, boats,patios,decks,
garages etc. where high pressure is necessaryto remove dirt
and debris.
High-pressurewater flow can damagethe work surface if not
usedproperly! Seethe sectiontitled "Operating Instructions"for
more details. Alwaystestthe spray inan open area first.
NEVERmovethe unit bypulling onthe high pressure hose. Use
the handle providedonthe topof the unit.
Alwaysholdthe high pressure gun and wand withtwo hands.
Keep one hand onthe gun/trigger, whilesupportingthe wand
with the other hand (seediagram).
Whendispensingdetergent, the pressurewasher applies
detergent tothe cleaningarea at low pressure only. Oncethe
detergent hasbeen applied,spraythe detergent off ofthe work
area by usingthe adjustablenozzle.

UnpackingTheCarton
After openingthe carton, please remove allparts and checkthem againstthe following
listof componentsthat are included:

To assemblethe enclosedparts, pleaserefer to the stepsthat follow:

Step 1
Attach the high pressure hoseto the gun. Usea wrenchto tighten the fitting.

Insertthe adjustablespray nozzleintothe gun. Pushandturn the adjustablenozzle
clockwiseontothe gun until handtightto lock it in place. Whenthe pieces arejoined
properly,you cannot separatethe two componentsbypullingstraightout on the
adjustablenozzle.Allattachments mustbeinserted intothe gun for proper use.

Step 3
Attach the high-pressure hoseto the malefitting onthe front of the pressurewasher.
Beforeattaching the high-pressure hoseto the male fitting, removethe plastic cap,
which is inserted onto the fitting beforeshipping. This plastic cap can be discarded
onceremoved. Twist on tight to avoidleakage.

Attachthebrassconnectorto pressurewasher.Beforeattachingtheconnectortothemale
fitting, removetheplasticcap,which isinsertedontothemalefittingonthepressurewasher
beforeshipping.Thisplasticcapcanbediscardedonceremoved.Afterbothcomponentshave
beeninstalled,attachthegardenhosewith connectorscrewonthe pressurewasher.Connect
thegardenhosetothewaterspout.

OPERATINGINSTRUCTIONS
THIS UNIT IS INTENDED TO BE USED WITH COLD WATER ONLY!
DO NOT USE HOT WATER IN THIS PRESSURE WASHER!
StartingUp
After connectingthe pressurewasherto yourcold
water supply,proceedasfollows:
Makesure that the on/off switch is
in the off position.
Connectthe gardenhosewith quick
connectto the inlet fitting.
Attach the hoseto the gun as per
assembly instruction step #1.
Insertthe adjustable spray nozzle
into the gun as per assemblystep
#2.
Connectthe high pressure hoseto
the high pressure outletfittingas
per assemblystep #3.
Openthe water supplyvalve completely.
Beforeturning the uniton, pressthe gun trigger to bleed allthe
remainingair out ofthe pumpand hose.
Startthe pressure washer byturning the on/off switchto the
on positionand squeezethetrigger.
REMINDER:Motordoesnot runcontinuously,onlywhenthe trigger issqueezed.
WARNING - RISK OF INJECTION! Unit will start spraying
when trigger is squeezed. When turning the unit off after
use, high pressure still exists inside the hose and unit. Point
the gun in a safe direction and discharge the excess
pressure. NEVER direct the high pressure water stream at
people or animals.

AutomaticOn/ Off
The pressurewasher isequipped with an automatic on/off switch.The pressurewasher
will only run when the power switch is in the ONposition and the trigger on the gun is
squeezed.Whenyou releasethe trigger to stop spraying waterthrough the gun,the
motor on the pressurewasher will automatically shut off. Simply squeezethe trigger
againto resume usingthe washer. Tostop usingthe pressure washer, releasethe
trigger and switch the unit to the OFFposition. The unit should beturned completely
OFFwhile not in use or while unattended.
BleedingThe Gun
It isveryimportantto bleedallthe air outofthe pressurewasherbeforeusingit.Todothis
1.Releasetriggerlock.
2.Squeezethetriggerbeforeturningtheelectricalsupplyon.Thisremovesanyair trapped
insidethe pressurewasherandlancebeforeusingthe units.
3.Continueholdingtriggerfor approximatelyoneminuteto allowanyexcessairoutof the
unit.Waterwill flow throughthe gunat lowpressureduringthis procedure.
4. Lockthetrigger.
5.Plugthe mainspowercableintotheelectricitysupply.
6.Releasethetrigger lock.
7.Trunthe ON/OFFswitch clockwiseto theI/ONposition.
Thepressurewasheris readyto usingnow.
GunSafetyLock
This pressurewasher is equipped with a guntrigger safety lock. Whennot usingthe
pressurewasher, usethe safety lock to keepfrom accidentally engagingthe high
pressurespray.
AdjustableSprayNozzle
Theadjustablenozzlewill allowyouto useanyvarietyof spraypatternsfrom a full fan
spray (Diagram1)to a directstreamspray (Diagram2). Whenusingthe pressurewasher
to cleanwooddecks,siding, vehiclesetc.,alwaysstart usingthe fan sprayand begin
sprayingfrom a minimum36" awayto avoiddamagingthe surfaceofthe materialyouare
cleaning. Alwaysbeginbysprayingin a testingareafree andclear of peopleand objects.

DispensingDetergent
The built-in detergent dispenserwill allow youto apply manyforms of liquid detergent
ontothe work surface. Detergentapplication happensat low-pressure only. Insert the
adjustable nozzleontothe gun, and turn it to end of .... sothat the pressurewasher
is in low-pressure mode(see FigureA below). Removethe cap onthe detergent
reservoir and fill with liquid detergent only (seeFigure B below). Donot put anywater
into the reservoir. Thepressure washer will mix water and detergentautomatically.
Whenfinished applyingthe detergent to the work surface, turn it to end of" + " of
the adjustable nozzleand spray off the detergent by usingthe high-pressure spray
(seeFigureA below). In high-pressuremode, the pressure washer will not dispense
detergent.

ADJUSTINGTHEPRESSURE
To adjust the pressure,proceedasfollows:
1. Holdthe shaft of the lance in one hand.
2. Turnthe greypart ofthe nozzleclockwise
(to "+" end)to obtainthe high pressure.
3. Turnthe grey part of the nozzleanticlockwise
(to "-" end) to obtain the low pressure.

The pressurewasher is fitted with atotal stop systemto protect the motor when in use.
Whenthe trigger is releasedthe motor will stop.
Whenthe trigger is squeezedthe motor will start up again.
USINGDETERGENTS
The pressurewasher will dispense detergent only at low pressure.
Usethe adjustable spray nozzleto apply detergentsandto rinseclean.
Biodegradabledetergentsare specifically formulated to protect the environmentand
your pressurewasher. TheseDetergentswill not clogthe filter and will protect the
internal parts of the pressure washer for a longerlife.

Openthe cover ofthe detergent reservoir bytwistingit off.

Fillthe detergent reservoirwith any approvedliquiddetergent.

To applythe detergent cleanserto your working area,turn the pressure washer switch
to the ONposition. Pull the trigger to operatethe unit. The pressurewasher will mix
the detergent with water. Donot allow the detergentto dry onthe object that you are
cleaning.
WARNING: NEVER USE PRODUCTS WITH BLEACH OR CHLORINE
OR ANY OTHER CORROSIVE MATERIALS, INCLUDING LIQUIDS
CONTAINING SOLVENTS (I.E. GAS, OILS ETC), TRI-SODIUM
PHOSPHATE PRODUCTS, AMMONIA, OR ACID-BASED CLEANERS.
THESE CHEMICALS WILL HARM THE UNIT AND CAUSE DAMAGE
TO THE SURFACE BEING CLEANED. ALWAYS READ THE LABEL.
Step 5
To cleanthe working area, turn the adjustablenozzleto end of " + ", return itto
high-pressure mode. Sprayhigh-pressure water ontothe work area to rinseoff
the work area and any remainingdetergent.

CLEAN-UPANDSTORAGE
ShuttingDownthe PressureWasher
WHEN FINISHED USING THE PRESSURE WASHER, FOLLOW THESE
STEPS TO SHUT DOWN THE UNIT:
Turn the pressurewasher tothe OFFposition.
Turn offthe water supply.
Beforedisconnectinghigh-pressure hoseconnection, pointthe gun in a
safe direction and dischargethe high-pressure water.
Disconnecthigh-pressure hosefromthe pressure washer and gun.
Disconnectgarden hosefrom the pressurewasher.
Removeexcesswater from the pump bytippingthe unit on bothsidesto
drain anyremainingwater from inlet and outletfittings.
RemoveWater Intake Filterandflushwith water to remove dirt or debris.
Returnfilter once cleaned.
Draindetergent reservoir and flushwith running water.
Wipeawayany remainingwater on all parts andfittings.
Engagethe gun safetylock.
Storethe pressure washer, parts, and accessoriesinan
area with a temperature above0% (32°F).

WinterizingandLong-TermStorage
FOLLOW ALL OF THE ABOVE SHUT-DOWN PROCEDURES,ADDING
THE FOLLOWING STEPS ....
After disconnectingthe water supply,and before disconnectingthe
high-pressure hose,turn the pressure washer onfor 2-3 seconds,until any
remainingwater in the pumpexits. Turn unitoff immediately.
CONTINUED USE OF THE PRESSURE WASHER WITHOUT
WATER SUPPLY ATTACHED WILL CAUSE SEVERE DAMAGE TO
THE UNIT!
Always storethe pressurewasher, parts, and accessories in an area with a
temperature above C(32° F).
WARNING: FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THESE STORAGE
INSTRUCTIONS WILL RESULT IN DAMAGE TO THE PUMP
ASSEMBLY.
Maintenance
Thispressurewasher is suppliedwitha closedlubricationsystem,so no
additionof oilis needed.
Checkall hosesand accessoriesfor damageprior to use.
Checkthe water intakefilter periodicallyfor deposits. Cleanthis filter
regularlyfor maximumperformance.

CLEANINGTIPS
WARNING: ALWAYS TEST THE SPRAY IN AN AREA FREE AND
CLEAR OF PEOPLE AND OBJECTS BEFORE YOU SPRAYAT THE
INTENDED CLEANING SURFACE.
WoodandVinylDecks
Rinsedeck and surrounding areawithfresh water. If using detergent,fill the detergent
reservoir and applyto the area being cleanedat low pressure. Foroptimal results,
reduceyour work areato smaller sections and clean eachsection one at a time. Allow
the detergentto rest on the surface for a few minutes andthenrinse at high pressure.
Donot let the cleanser dry. Always cleanfrom left to right andtop to bottom for best
results. Rinseat high pressureusing the fan spray keepingthe tip of the spray nozzle
at least 6-9 inches from the cleaning surface. Maintain a further distancefrom the
cleaningarea when using a direct spray.
Caution:Forsofter woods,increase thedistancefrom the cleaning area.
CementPatios,Stone,andBrick
Rinsecleaning andsurrounding area with fresh water. If usingdetergent,fillthe
detergent reservoir and applyto the area being cleaned at lowpressure. Rinseat high
pressure usingthe fan spray in a sweeping motionkeepingthe tip of the spray nozzle
at least3-6 inchesfrom the cleaningsurface. Maintaina further distancefrom the
cleaningarea when usinga direct spray.
Cars,Boats,andMotorcycles
Rinsecleaning and surroundingarea with fresh water. If usingdetergent, fill the
detergent reservoir and apply to the area being cleaned at low pressure. To achieve
the best results, clean oneside at a time. Allow the detergent to rest on the surface
for a few minutes, but do not let the detergent dry. Rinseat high pressure usingthe
fan spray in a sweeping motion keepingthe tip of the spray nozzle at least 8 inches
from the cleaningsurface.

Maintain a further distancefrom the cleaning area whenusinga direct spray. Wipe
surface dryfor a polishedfinish.
