User’s Reference Guide
Congratulations! You have within your possession a unique device, unlike any high performance audio
component you have ever experienced. The Synergistic Research Transporter is a groundbreaking
achievement in Active Shielding technology, and will elevate your Synergistic Research cables and
devices to the highest levels of performance and realism achievable.
WARNING: Avoiding Electrical Shocks
Do not operate the Synergistic Research Transporter if any kind of liquid has been deposited onto
or near it. Do not store open liquid containers near or around the Synergistic Research Transporter
when it is in operation. Do not expose the Synergistic Research Transporter to rain or other weather
elements.
WARNING: Electrical Storm Precautions
During severe weather conditions such as electrical storms, perform the following procedures:
Turn off all of your electronic equipment, including the Transporter.
Disconnect all of your electronic equipment from your power outlets, including the Transporter.
Disconnect the Transporter Mini Power Coupler (MPC) from your power outlet.
Do not reconnect your electronic equipment until the storm is well passed. If you can hear
thunder, lightning and its potentially destructive effects are still nearby.
WARNING: No User Serviceable Parts Inside
Never attempt to open or disassemble your Synergistic Research Transporter. This unit is factory
sealed and cannot be opened. There are no user serviceable parts inside. For service inquiries, please

WARNING: Electrical Grounding
The Synergistic Research Transporter requires a properly grounded power outlet for optimal
performance and safety. If you are not certain if your electrical configuration is properly grounded,
have it inspected by a qualified electrician.
WARNING: Hot Swapping
The Synergistic Research Transporter and Active Interface Cables & Extensions do not support hot
swapping. Power off the device before installing or uninstalling the A/C power cord and the Active
Interface Cables & Extensions. Power off the device before connecting Active Interface Cables &
Extensions to your Synergistic Research cables & devices.

Operating Instructions
Unpacking
Carefully remove your Transporter from the protective plastic enclosure. Inside the included accessory
box you will find the following:
(1) each universal AC power cord (Standard and ULTRA models only)
(1) each Element Tungsten AC Power Cord (ULTRA SE model only)
(1) each Quantum Fuse 2A slow blow (replacement)
(4) each Active Interface Cables (Active Power Cords) (Standard and ULTRA models only)
(5) each Active Interface Cables (Active Power Cords) (ULTRA SE model only)
(5) each Active Interface Cables (Active Interconnects, Speaker Cables, and Tranquility Bases)
Installation
Place your Transporter on an audio rack shelf or on your Tranquility Base.
Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is in the OFF position.
Install the AC power cord.
Install the Active Interface Cables. Each cable is labeled for convenience and identification.
Cables marked “PC” are designated for Active Power Cords and the corresponding output bank
located on the rear panel of the Transporter. Cables marked “IC/SPK” are designated for Active
Interconnects, Speaker Cables, and Tranquility Base products and the corresponding output
bank located on the rear panel of the Transporter. Install each Active Interface Cable accordingly.
Once all of your Active Interface Cables are installed, move the ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
The blue indicator LEDs located on your Active cables and devices should now be illuminated and
confirm proper function.
Additional Active Interface and Extension Cables are sold separately in 1.25 meter lengths.
Special Installation Information
When using full differential amplifiers, mono block amplifiers, or Synergistic Research
Galileo LE Interconnects or Speaker Cables, you will need to employ the Isolated Active
Interface Cable outputs. These two outputs are located on the far right hand side of the Active
Interface Cable Output Bank for Active Interconnects, Speaker Cables, and Tranquillity Bases,
and are each marked with a red dot. Based on your audio system configuration, follow these
instructions when applicable:
Full Differential Amplifiers: Plug your Active Interconnects into the isolated outputs.
Mono Block Amplifiers: Plug either your Active Interconnects or Active Speaker Cables into the
Isolated outputs.
Synergistic Research Galileo LE Interconnect (1 pair): Plug into isolated outputs.
Synergistic Research Galileo LE Interconnect (2 pair): Plug your Active Pre-to-Power
Interconnect into the isolated outputs.
Synergistic Research Galileo LE Interconnect (1 pair) and Galileo LE Speaker Cable: Plug
either your Active Interconnects or Active Speaker Cables into the Isolated outputs.
Synergistic Research Galileo LE Interconnect (2 pair) and Galileo LE Speaker Cable: Plug
your Active Pre-to-Power Interconnect into the isolated outputs.

Care & Maintenance
CAUTION: Exposure To Heat
Do not expose your Synergistic Research Transporter to direct sunlight, or place it near wall heaters,
space heaters, or any enclosed space prone to high temperature or increases in temperature.
Proper Cleaning
Please follow these guidelines to ensure the best day-to-day care for your new Transporter:
Never use paper towels or any paper product to clean or polish your Transporter. Always use a
soft polishing cotton cloth, such as a diaper or automotive polishing terry cloth, to refresh the
look of your Transporter.
Never use ammonia-based glass cleaners, such as Windex.
CAUTION: Handle with care! Do not drop!
Moving or Shipping
Store the original box packaging and packing foam in a clean and dry area. Use the original box
packaging and packing foam when shipping or moving your Transporter.
