Cleaning a Quooker tap
We would like to ensure your tap is always kept in the best condition. As every nish requires its own
special treatment, we have outlined advice below for all the dierent nishes.
Polished chrome, stainless steel, nickel and gold
Use glass cleaner and or water only with a soft cloth. Spray a small amount on a damp cloth
(not directly on the tap) and then wipe the tap. Dry the tap immediately after use.
Patinated brass
Use only warm water and a soft cloth. Do not use (alcohol-based) cleaning products, because they
damage the nish Do you want extra protection for your tap? Rub it with a layer of beeswax every
3 or 6 months. Dry the tap immediately after use.
Black
Use only warm water and a soft cloth. Do not use (alcohol-based) cleaning products, because
they damage the nish. Dry the tap immediately after use.
General guidance - all taps
We strongly advise and do not recommend using any cleaning products such as anti-scaling agents,
abrasives or scouring sponges. They can damage the coating of parts and the grease in the tap which
ensures that all the parts operate smoothly. These cleaning products can also cause faults in the tap if
they get under the Quooker button. Do not use cleaning products containing a carbon compound, such
as isopropanol, alcohol and ethanol, because they damage the nish.
