PROception PROGALISOL11 Operating instructions

  • Hello! I've reviewed the datasheet for the Galvanic Isolator. This document explains how it breaks ground loops, prevents current flow between different ground potentials and provides safety by stopping accidental current from reaching the ground through a person's body. It uses 'F' type connections, operates at 5-2,400MHz frequency, and has direction indicators. I'm ready to answer any questions you have about this device.
  • What is the purpose of a galvanic isolator?
Why is galvanic isolation used for safety?
What type of connections does it use?
Does it have directional flow indicators?
Galvanic isolaon is used where two or more electric circuits must communicate but
their grounds may be at dierent potenals. It is an eecve method of breaking ground
loops, by prevenng unwanted current from owing between two units sharing a
ground conductor. Galvanic isolaon is also used for safety by prevenng accidental current
from reaching ground through a person's body. Under current regulaons galvanic isolaon
is legally required to be added on each signal cable line link between each building.
Features:
‘F’ type connecons for input and output.
Covers frequency 5 - 2,400MHz.
Direconal ow indicators.
Quick and easy to install.
