2 Close any programs that produce sound including MP3 players,
media players, VOIP programs, and instant messenger programs.
3 Insert the USB connector of your X-Bass into an available USB port on
your computer. The X-Bass does not require you to install any drivers. Your
computer should automatically recognize the X-Bass as a USB audio device.
4 Before removing your X-Bass, you should also close any programs that
produce sound. Never remove the X-Bass while it is in use, as that may
cause sound programs to experience errors.
USING THE X-BASS WITH MICROSOFT WINDOWS
®
1 You may see a message indicating that your computer recognizes the device and that the device is ready for use.
You may also hear a sound from your X-Bass.
2 Test the device by using any application that produces sound. If you hear the sound through your X-Bass, then it is ready for use.
3 If you cannot hear sound through your X-Bass, close any programs that produce sound and go to:
Start > Settings > Control Panel > Sounds and Audio Devices.
4 Under the Volume tab, click Advanced. A new window will open. Make sure the device volume is not muted and raise the volume bar
all the way to the top.
5 Minimize the new window. Then go to the Audio tab and select USB Audio Device as the default device for sound playback.
6 If the Apply button at the bottom is clickable, then click it and then click OK. Now try any application that produces sound.
7 If the sound is still not coming through your X-Bass, try shutting down your computer. Then, make sure the X-Bass is connected to
an available USB port and turn your computer on. Repeat the steps above.
USING THE X-BASS WITH MAC OS

1 Click the Apple icon in the upper left corner of your screen.
2 Click System Preferences.
3 In the Hardware section, click Sound.

TROUBLESHOOTING
If your X-Bass stops working or your computer displays a sound driver error, close all programs that produce sound, disconnect the X-Bass,
wait a few seconds and then plug the X-Bass back in.
If that does not work, disconnect the X-Bass and restart your computer. Allow your computer to fully boot and reconnect the X-Bass.
You can also try moving or removing other USB devices. The X-Bass may not be receiving enough power if too many other USB devices
are plugged in nearby.
If your X-Bass seems to be limp, then work with it by flexing it back and forth into the position you want. Then it should hold its position.
