WANDERS ELAN 78 features a steel body with a thickness of 2.5–4 mm, and a cast iron door with heat-resistant glass. It is equipped with an automatic primary air regulator that sets the air supply to the firebox to the optimal level. The firebox is lined with fireclay stones for protection, and a cast iron grate is located in the firebox bottom. A baffle plate in the firebox redirects the flue gases for better heat utilization. The stove has a 150 mm diameter flue outlet and is finished with heat-resistant black paint. Optional colored side panels are powder-coated for durability.
