First, turn off the system power, then please follow below steps to install the DVD-ROM drive.
1. Adjust the Master/Slave jumpers on the rear side of the DVD-ROM drive as necessary.
(The factory default mode normally should not be changed.)
2. Screw the DVD-ROM drive unit into a free 5.25-inch drive bay.
3. Plug connectors to the sockets on the rear side of DVD-ROM drive.
NOTE: Normally, the red edge of the IDE cable corresponds to pin 1 of the IDE interface on the DVD-ROM drive.

Tip:
If your DVD
ROM drive supports Ultra DMA/33 mode
(optional feature), you can turn on this mode to improve
IDE data transfer rate. To implement this function, you
also need to make sure your motherboard supports
UDMA mode and the bus master IDE driv
er has been
installed properly.

The jumper is for selection of the drive use mode and supporting PC. Short-circuit socket is attached for the setting.
(attached -> on; not attached -> off). Please refer to the following table.

1. Locate the tiny hole at the bottom of the disc tray.
Gently poke the hole with a sharp needle or a clip.
2. When the disc tray opens, pull out the tray and
remove the disc from the DVD-ROM drive.
