• To save battery power, press once to temporarily turn off the screen. Press again to turn it back

1.3 Installing SIM Card, Battery and
Memory Card
To remove the back cover
1. Turn the Eclipse off.
2. Carefully pry up the back cover using the
cover notch. Release the hooks around the
edges to remove the back cover.
SIM card
SIM card
contains your phone number, memory storage, and network service details.
To install SIM card
Insert SIM card as shown. Ensure the gold
contacts are facing down and the notched corner
is facing away from the battery slot.
To remove SIM card
1. Remove
battery.
2. Use your finger to slide SIM card from the
card slot.

Battery
Eclipse comes with a rechargeable Li
-
Ion battery. Battery life varies depending on the
network and applications used and the type of connections attached to this device.
To install battery
Insert battery. Make sure the contacts of the
battery are aligned with the connectors on the
battery slot.
To remove battery
Use your fingertip to lift the battery tab and
remove battery.
To replace the back cover
Secure the hooks on the back cover with
designated holes on the Eclipse and close the
back cover.

NOTE: To ensure battery performance and avoid the risk of fire:
• Use only original batteries designated for the Eclipse.
• Do not store the battery in temperatures below -20ºC or higher than 55ºC.

Memory card
You will need a microSD® card to store photos, music, videos and other data.
To install memory card
1. Flip the rubber blocker away before inserting
the memory card.
2. Insert memory card with the gold contacts
facing down.
3. Slide the memory card into place.
To remove memory card
1. For safety removal, tap Application Drawer >
Settings > SD card & phone storage >
Unmount SD card.
2. Flip the rubber blocker away before removing the memory card.
3. Carefully slide the memory card away from the slot.
1.4 Charging Battery
The battery that came with your device is only partially charged. To fully charge the
battery, charge it for 2 hours using the AC adaptor.
Charge the battery
1. Connect one end of the AC adaptor to the
Micro USB connector of the Eclipse as shown.
2. Plug the other end of the AC adaptor to the
wall outlet to start charging.
When the battery is charging, the orange LED is
activated; the icon is also displayed on the
status bar. When the battery is fully charged, the
orange LED disappears and the green LED is
activated;
if Eclipse is turned on,

1.5 Using Headset
For hands-free conversation or listening to music, plug a headset to the headset jack
or use a Bluetooth HSP headset.
NOTE:
• When using a headset, your ability to hear outside sounds may be limited.
Do not use a headset if it will endanger you.
• Do not set the volume to its maximum with a headset as it may damage your
hearing.
• It is recommended you use the supplied headset as some headsets may not
be compatible with the phone. Check with your retailer on compatible third
party headsets.
1.6 Turning the Eclipse On or Off
After installing the SIM card and charging the battery, your Eclipse is ready to turn on.
Turn on your Eclipse
Press and hold the

Turn off your Eclipse
1. Press and hold the

button for 3 seconds.
2. A pop-up window appears, tap Power off.
3. Select OK to confirm.

Unlock the screen
1. Press the

button to turn on the display from Sleep mode.
2. Drag

the right edge of the screen to unlock the screen.
1.8 Yes Account Login
After turning on your phone for the first time, you will be
prompted to log onto the Yes Network.
1. Enter your Yes ID and password.
2. Tap Next to log in and continue to the Home Screen.

3. If you do not have a Yes ID, tap Register Now! If you
are within 4G coverage, you will proceed to the Yes
Network website.
4. Tap Yes I just want to register a Yes ID near the
bottom of the page.
5. Enter your registration details. Once you have
completed registration, your Yes ID is ready to be
used on your Eclipse.

handle at the bottom of the screen upward.

To configure Yes Life settings, open the Status Bar
and tap Settings.
If you are currently signed into Yes Life, tap
Sign
out to manually disconnect from Yes Life. Tap
again to Sign In.
You can also select options on how the phone
connects to Yes Life.
• Connect via Yes 4G only connects to Yes
Life using Yes 4G network only.
• Connect via Yes 4G/Wi-Fi connects to Yes
Life using Yes 4G network or a Wi-Fi network,
if available.
• Also connect via 3G provides an optional
network service to connect to Yes Life if the
Yes 4G network or a Wi-Fi connection is not
availble.
Shortcut Menu
The Shortcut menu displays notification or other information of each menu item. To
easily access the menu, tap the item on the Home screen.

Using Widgets
Save time with live updates right on the Home screen and get all your personalized
updates in one place.
You may add and customize the Widgets on the Home screen as you like.

Swipe your finger to the left or right across the Home screen.
The two extensions to the left and to the right of the Home screen provide more space

Setting Wallpaper
You can customize the wallpaper of your Home screen with a default wallpaper or with
pictures taken with this device.
Set wallpaper from Pictures
1. From the Home Screen, tap
Menu

Wallpaper.
Select wallpaper from is displayed on screen.
2. Tap Gallery.
3. Tap to select pictures taken by the phone camera or
saved on your microSD card.
4. You will see thumbnail images of all pictures. Tap to
select the picture you want to use as wallpaper.
5. Drag your finger to select the crop area and tap
inside the box to crop the image.
6. Tap Save and the cropped image appears as
wallpaper on the Home screen.
