General safeguards
When using any electrical appliance, basic safety precauons should always be
followed including:
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and
persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilies or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instrucon
concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user
maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and
supervised. Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than
8 years old.
Always ensure the voltage on the rang label corresponds to the voltage in
your home.
Check the power cord and plug regularly for any damage. If the cord or the
plug is damaged, it must be replaced by a qualied electrician or a service
repair centre. If in doubt please contact our customer service team.
The appliance is intended for domesc use only. Industrial or commercial use
will void the warranty. The supplier cannot be held responsible for injury or
damage if the appliance has been used for anything other than its intended
use.
Incorrect operaon and use can damage the appliance and cause injury to
the user.
Do not use the appliance if it has been dropped or damaged in anyway. If the
unit has been damaged take the unit for examinaon and or repair by an
authorised service agent.
Do not immerse or expose the motor assembly, plug or the power cord in
water or any other liquid for any reason.
If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or by
someone who is suitably qualied to avoid a potenal hazard.
Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or counter. Ensure that the
cord is not in a posion where it can be pulled or tripped over accidentally.
Do not allow the cord to touch hot surfaces and do not place the cord near
hot gas or electric burners or in a heated oven.
Use of an extension cord with this appliance is not recommended. However
if it is necessary to use an extension cord, ensure that the extension cord is
equal to or greater than the power consumpon of the appliance to avoid
overheang of the appliance and extension cord. Do not use any other
appliance on the extension cord. Do not place the extension cord in a
posion where it can be pulled on by children or animals or be tripped over.
Always operate the appliance on a smooth, even and stable surface. Do not
place the unit on a hot surface.

Always remove the plug of the appliance safely. Do not pull on the
appliances cord to remove the appliance plug from the electrical socket.
Never handle or operate the appliance with wet hands.

Before use
Remove all packaging from the fondue and bowl including the items inside
the pan.
Before you use the fondue for the rst me, we recommend that you wipe
the inner surface of the bowl, fondue forks and the outside of the hot plate
unit with a slightly damp cloth. Dry thoroughly, this will remove any residue
le on from the manufacturing process.
Ensure the surface of the heater plate is dry before use.
Using the appliance for the rst me
When using the fondue, add the ingredients to the bowl and place the fork
separator ring onto the rim of the bowl.
Place the bowl onto the hotplate’s heang plate then plug in the appliance
to the power supply. Adjust the temperature control to the required seng.
The dot on the casing indicates the temperature level selected.
When the fondue is switched on the thermostat will cycle on and o during
use to keep the food in the bowl at an approximate constant temperature.
You will hear a clicking sound as the thermostat switches on and o.
When using the fondue be careful when taking food out of the hot bowl and
check that all the food is cooked thoroughly, meats in parcular.
When you have nished using the fondue allow the bowl and the appliance
to cool down before moving it.
To switch o the appliance, align the dot on the control knob with the dot on
the casing.

Fondue Forks
Connect the fork and the handle to each other by screwing them together . There
are two opons:
Normal fork length
Screw the fork into the handle end with the silver coloured ring.
Reduced fork length
For cheese or chocolate fondue preparaons– screw the fork into the back end of
the handle.
Warning!
Ensure the food is thoroughly cooked inside and out.
Always unplug the fondue aer use.
Never leave the appliance plugged in aer use.
Do not use the appliance as a room heater.
Never leave the appliance unaended when it is switched on.
The handles of the bowl will get hot during use, so always use oven gloves if
the bowl must be moved in an emergency situaon.
Cleaning
Before cleaning, unplug the appliance and wait unl the appliance has
cooled down.
Wipe the fondue with a warm damp cloth ensuring no moisture, oil or
grease gets inside the electrical appliance. Do not immerse the electrical
appliance in any liquid.
The bowl and fondue forks may be immersed in hot soapy water, we do not
recommend dish washing these items.
Do not clean any part of the appliance with any strong detergents, abrasive
cleaners, pads or steel wool as this will damage the surface.
Wait unl the fondue is completely cool before storing.

For best results
Do not add very “wet” food into hot frying oil as wet food can cause the oil
to foam and overow.
Food should be cut roughly the same size so that it cooks evenly and
thoroughly.
Many types of food can be coated before fondue frying. Typical coangs are
baer or breadcrumbs.
Always wait unl the fondue oil has reached the desired temperature before
adding the food.
Do not overll the pan.
Recipe Ideas
Savoyard cheese fondue
Ingredients
1kg cheese, including Emmenthal, 250g Comte and 250g Appenzel
1 crushed clove of garlic
60cl dry white wine
1 tablespoon of kirsch
Method
1. Put the wine into the bowl and warm it for 10 minutes on seng 2.
2. Meanwhile grate the cheese coarsely.
3. Add the garlic to the wine and gradually sr in the cheese.
4. Sr well to create a smooth fondue.
5. Add the kirsch and season to taste.
6. Serve with cubes of crusty bread.

Swiss fondue with tomatoes
Ingredients
1kg Gruyere cheese, grates
2 large tomatoes, seeded and chopped
1 clove crushed garlic
2 teaspoons cornour, mixed to a paste with water
50cl dry white wine
Method
1. Place all the ingredients in the bowl.
2. Heat gently on seng 2, srring the ingredients connuously.
3. Serve in cubes with crusty bread and or boiled potatoes.
4. Serve silver skin onions and pickled gherkins as accompaniments.
Oil
Method
1. Heat 1 litre of sunower oil at seng 5 for approx. 15 minutes.
2. Mean while cut steak, chicken, pork llet into 1.5cm strips.
3. Place a strip of meat onto the fondue fork and immerse it in the hot oil unl
its cooked to your required taste.
You can also make delicious dipping baer for prawns, sh and vegetables.

Basic baer recipe
Ingredients
150g self raising our
200ml dry cider
Method
1. Mix enough cider into the our to create a baer, you may not need all of
the cider.
2. Dip the sh/vegetables rst into a light coang of our and then add in the
baer.
3. Cook for approx. 1 minute to create a crispy coang.
Alternavely, try coang chicken and prawns in sesame seeds and serve
with a dipping sauce.
Dipping sauce
Ingredients
1 clove of garlic, crushed
0.5cm ginger, nely grated
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp sh sauce
50cl soy sauce
Bouillon
Method
Simply add 1.2 litres of water with a good quality stock cube to make a
simple stock.
Heat the stock on seng 6 unl it reaches a rolling boil.
To create a Chinese fondue add 1 crushed garlic clove, 2 teaspoons of grated
ginger, 3 nely chopped spring onions, 2 tablespoons soy sauce and 2 star
anise.
This can be served with chicken, beef and prawns as well as vegetables.

Red wine fondue
Method
Place 1 litre of light red wine in the bowl.
Add 1 sck of celery, nely sliced, 1 onion studded with 6 cloves, 1 bay leaf, 1
sliced leek, 1 sliced carrot, 1 tablespoon chopped parsley.
Heat to simmer on seng 5 and allow it to cook for around 15 minutes to
fully draw out the avours.
Slice steak, venison or duck breast into 1.5cm strips and cook accordingly to
personal taste in the hot stock.
Sweet fondue
Chocolate
Ingredients
500g good quality dark chocolate
400ml double cream
1 tablespoon of rum, brandy or grand marnier (oponal)
Method
Heat the cream on seng 2 unl it is just warm.
Break the chocolate into pieces and add it to the cream.
Sr well and connue to heat unl the chocolate is melted and mixed with
the cream.
Add the liquor (not necessary)
Serve with a variety of fruits and cubes of sponge cake.
For an indulgent treat, oer separate dishes of grated chocolate, nuts, desiccated
coconut and hundreds and thousands and dip the chocolate coated fruit into the
dips.

Caramel sauce
Ingredients
200g unrened caster sugar
250g low fat crème fraiche
1 n of condensed milk
2 teaspoons of cornour
Grated zest of 1 lemon
Method
Place the sugar into the bowl with 3 tablespoons of water. Heat on seng 2
unl the sugar has dissolved and is beginning to caramelise (turn brown).
Carefully add the condensed milk
Mix the corn our into the crème fraiche and add it to the sauce with the
lemon zest.
Serve with fruit and sponge cake.

Returned products must be cleaned and returned to us in as close to delivery
condion as possible.

If your product develops a problem within the rst 12 months of the xed
warranty, we will pay all shipping costs to have it returned to us. Aer 12 months
the customer will be liable for the cost of returning the product to us. We will then
pay to have the repaired/replaced item shipped back to the customer.

-up of lime scale or repair aempts made by third-pares. Also, the guarantee
does not cover normal wear and tear of individual parts.

other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm

disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the sustainable reuse of

your used device, please use the return and collecon systems or contact the
retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product for
environmental safe recycling.

Electrical informaon
Please note:
It is extremely important that the wires or cores in the ex are connected to the
correct terminals in the plug. If the colour of the mains lead of the appliance does
not correspond with the coloured markings idenfying the terminals in your plug
proceed as follows:
The Live (Brown) wire
connects to the right-
most live (L) terminal
nearest to the fuse.
The Neutral (Blue) wire
connects to the le-
most neutral (N)
terminal.
The Earth (Green and
Yellow) wire connects
to the central, top most
earthed (E) terminal.
Warning:
If the appliance is double
insulated indicated by the double insulated symbol:
it should not have an earth wire or earth connecon.
Plug
The plug must be protected by the correct AMP fuse; this will be indicated on the
case of the plug. Only BSI or ASTA approved fuses should be used. When changing
the fuse always replace it with a fuse that is of the same idencal rang as the
original. If you are unsure about which plug or fuse to use, always refer to a
qualied electrician.
Please note aer replacing the fuse, ensure that the cover is correctly ed back
onto the plug. Never aempt to run the appliance if the plug does not have a cover.
If a moulded plug is ed and has to be removed take great care in disposing of the
plug and severed cable, it must be destroyed to prevent it from engaging into a
socket.

If the supply cord is damaged it must be replaced by a service agent or a similarly
qualied person in order to avoid a hazard.
