coee machine, enables you to then automatically repeat the desired dose, with an

It must not be used for other purpose and must not be altered or tampered with for any

reason.

Use for any other purpose is considered improper and therefore dangerous and

invalidates any guarantees.

Warning: The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for any damages

resulting from:

• Improperuse

• Useforanyotherpurposeotherthanthatindicated

• Repairscarriedoutbypersonsotherthanauthorizedservicefacilityduly

• Transportationoftheequipmentbythepowercord

While dispensing the drink, beware of possible splashes of hot liquid.

Do not lift the capsule housing door whilst the machine is preparing a

beverage.

UNPACKING AND PLACEMENT

Remove the equipment from its packing and check that all the parts are correct, present

and are not broken.

Packing materials (cardboard, cellophane, metal staples etc.) could cut

or cause injury if not handled carefully or if used incorrectly; keep them

out of the reach of children or unskilled persons.

• Placetheequipmentonaat,even,stable,heat-resistantsurface,strong 

enough to bear its weight.

• Donotinstallorusetheequipmentnearcurtainsorotherammablematerial 

and do not place anything on top of it during use.

• Donotplacetheequipmentonof,orclosetoovensoranyotherequipment 

that generates heat (for instance, radiators, etc.).

• Makesurethereisenoughspacearoundtheequipmentforproperventilation.

PREPARING THE EQUIPMENT

PREPARING THE EQUIPMENT

Water ﬁlling

• Openthetanklid(3)andpourfreshwaterintothe

tank (2) (maximum 1 L), then replace the lid (3).

• Pressthebutton(13)to“ON”.TheOn/Ogeneral

light (14) goes on and the boiler starts heating the

water.

• Pressoneofthefrontoptions(11or12).

• Waitforthecorrectoperatingtemperaturetobe

attained. This will be signaled by the front 3 LEDs

emitting a steady green light.

• Themachinewillthenbereadytouse.

Carefully check that during these operations the

lever is closed and the water tank is ﬁlled.

Before producing the ﬁrst coee

• Donotinsertacapsule.Placeacupunderthe

dispense spout, press one of the extraction/pour

buttons (11 or 12) and draw a cup of hot water.

This operation is necessary to ensure that the machine

mechanism is correctly primed.

EQUIPMENT START UP

The ﬁrst time you use the equipment, or if it has not been

used for a long time,the following must be done:

• Gentlyremovethemachinewatertank(2)andrinse

thoroughly with tap water. After washing, gently dry

and ﬁll with fresh water according to “Water ﬁlling”

(page 55).

Carefully place the water tank back into the machine

housing.

• PresstheGeneralOn/Obutton(13)tothe“ON”

position. The On/O LED (14) will illuminate (red)

and the equipment will enter Stand by mode.

Place a cup with a capacity in accordance with the volume

of the beverage you wish to make in the removable tray (7).

Press the extraction button (11 or 12) to start the beverage

extraction. Press the same button again when the desired

volume/ size of beverage is attained to stop the brew/

pour process.

The machine then memorises and understands this

volume and will extract future beverages accordingly.

Note: The maximum extraction/ pour from each button is

180 CC.

Reset personal settings

Press both of the extraction buttons (11 and 12)

simultaneouslyforthemtostopashing

(approximately 3 seconds).

The machine returns to the default/ factory setting:

Lack of water during the extraction.

CLEANING

Before cleaning, ALWAYS disconnect the plug (9)

from the power socket.

• Useadampclothtocleantheequipmentbody(1).

Do not use abrasive detergents.

Never immerse the equipment body (1) in

water or other liquids.

DO NOT wash any equipment components

in a dishwasher

• Removethetray(7)andthecapsuledrawer(6).

Empty any capsule and wash the drawer with

ordinary dishwashing detergent.

• Periodicallyremovethewatertank(2)andrinseit

with clean water, then replace carefully.

COFFEE PREPARATION

• StartthecoeepreparationonlyiftheLEDsare

steady green.

• Placeacupontheremovableandadjustabletray(7).

• Lifttheleverandinsertacapsuleintothecapsule

holder compartment with the color ﬁlm facing

backwards.

• Closethelever(5)andpressoneoftheextraction

buttons (11 or 12) according to your choice.

The coee extraction stops automatically.

The standard manufacturer coee settings are:

35 cc for espresso (11);

50 cc for coee (12).

If you wish to change to your own settings please

refer to page 59.

• Byopeningthelevertheusedcapsuleis

automatically ejected into the capsule drawer (6).

The capsule drawer (6) can hold a maximum

of 10 capsules, after which it must be emptied.

The capsule drawer can be released.

The equipment will inform you when the capsule

drawer is full, by a blinking red light in the On/O

general button.

The coee extraction buttons will be unusable

until the capsule drawer is emptied.

Ignoring this procedure may cause serious damage.

TAKING CARE OF THE ENVIRONMENT

Please remember to respect the local regulations:

recyclable raw material. These components can be recovered or recycled. If the

electric equipment does not work, send it to an appropriate repair oce or waste

handling centre.

To ensure maximum quality and satisfaction from your Delta Q coee, and the longevity

of your equipment, we recommend descaling regularly. Ideally every 3 months, or after

200 coee extractions.

Follow the security instructions on the Delta Q Descaling Kit.

Avoid contact with eyes, skin, machinery and surfaces around about.
