MMAAIINNSS PPLLUUGG
The mains lead supplied with this equipment is fitted with a stan-
dard 13 amp plug (BS 1362) and is fitted with a 5 amp fuse. When
changing or examining the fuse, the correct 5 amp fuse- ASTA or
BSI approved (BS 1362) must be fitted and the fuse cover replaced.
The 13 amp plug is the most widely used type in the UK and should
be suitable for most users.
However some locations (mainly older buildings) may not be equip-
ped with normal 13 amp sockets. In such cases it is recommended
that a suitable plug adaptor be purchased from your dealer.
IIMMPPOORRTTAANNTT::
This product is fitted with an approved non-rewireable 13 amp plug
fitted with a 5 amp fuse.
Should you decide to change the plug it should be cut from the po-
wer cord and disposed of safely.Insertion into a mains socket would
cause an electrical hazard.
However should you decide to change the plug. Please follow the
instructions below:

with the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug
proceed as follows: The wire that is coloured BLUE must be con-
nected to the terminal which is marked by the letter

terminal which is marked by the letter

or coloured red. A 5 amp
fuse must be fitted either in the plug or the adaptor or at the dist-
ribution board.

The screw in this terminal must be fully tightened.
WARNING: The plug which you cut off the mains lead must be
disposed of immediately and safely, since a shock hazard will arise
if the plug is inserted into a 13A socket elsewhere in the house. This
appliance must be protected by a 5A fuse, if a 13A (BS 1363) plug is
used. If any other type of plug is used, a 5A fuse must be fitted in the
plug or distribution board. Only ASTA approved BS 1362 fuses
should be used. This appliance must not be connected to a multiple
plug adaptor.The fuse carrier must be refitted in the event of
changing the fuse. Do not use the plug if the fuse carrier lost. The
fuse carrier must be of the correct type and colour (as indicated by
the plug base). Fuse carriers may be obtained from your supplier or
service centre.Should at any time the mains lead need replacing the
replacement lead should only be fitted by a competent

You should only plug the TV into a 230V to 240V AC, 50 Hz supply.
Make sure you select the correct voltage setting for your TV.

Position the power supply lead and other leads so that they are not
likely to be walked on or pinched by things placed on or against
them. Pay particular attention to leads where they enter a power
socket and at the point where they come out of the TV.

Do not use the TV in a humid or damp area. The apparatus shall not
be exposed to dripping or splashing, as this may dangerous. No
objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the
apparatus.

sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on top the
apparatus.

It is recommended that attention should be drawn to the

to the use of the apparatus in tropical and/or moderate climates.

Unplug the TV before you clean it. Do not use liquid or aerosol
cleaners. Clean your TV with a soft, damp cloth.

The slots and openings on the TV are for ventilation. Do not cover
or block them as it could lead to overheating.

Unplug the TV from the wall socket if there is a storm or lightning,
or if you are going on holiday.

If your TV needs a part replacing, make sure the person who does it
uses parts which are specified by the manufacturer or have the same
specifications as the original part. Other parts may cause a fire,
electric shock or other hazards.

Optimum good picture and colour reception requires a good outdoor
aerial.
Using a coaxial cable (75 ohm Fig A-2) for a aerial, connect the plug
(refer to Fig. A-1) into the aerial input of the set.

A video cassette recorder, video discplayer, TV games, home computer or video camera can be connected to this AV
socket with an appropriate connecting cable.
When programme mode "AV" is selected, the TV is switched for direct video input mode; and early RF stages of the
receiver are muted.
VVCCRR OOPPEERRAATTIIOONN BBYY UUSSIINNGG TTHHEE RRFF OOUUTT
To connect a home VCR to the receiver, connect the
coaxial cable from the RF OUT socket of the VCR to the
aerial socket of the TV SET, and connect the areial lead-in
cable to the RF IN socket of the recorder.
Select the programme No. 0 (on the TV set).
Push the PLAY-key (on the video).
Search RF channel of the VCR
Then memorize in PROGRAMME No. 0 the found RF
channel by using the store section of Installation Menu

Remote Control.

While pressing a button if any of the “functions illuminated
TV & DVD” buttons don’t blink, this means that RC is at the wrong
mode. For example: If you want to perform DVD functions, firstly
you should press “functions DVD” button at the top.
33..PPRROOGGRRAAMM NNUUMMBBEERR SSEELLEECCTTIIOONN
Press the
PP++//PP--
buttons on the TV control panel, to select
the desired program number.
•Select the program no.0-9 with the single number keys (0-9)
on the Remote Control will be pressed and held pressed for a
while to skip the time for the second digit.
•Select a program no.10-99, press number keys on the
Remote Control without a long interval.

To move to program no.14, first press key 1. A
message “1-“ appears on the upper left corner of the screen.
If you hold this key pressed then it goes to program no.1.
While this message is on the screen (3 seconds), if the key 4
is pressed the TV will go to programme 14. If the key 4 is not
pressed within 3 seconds the TV goes to programme 1.
44.. MMUUTTEE
To mute the sound immediately, press the mute button on the
RC. If you press this button again, you will hear the sound at
the same intensity as before.

Only the program number is displayed on mono
models. Other informations are available with stereo models.

It brings the settings made on the
menus related to picture and sound in the form they have
been last saved (user values).

If you press the PP button sequentialy two times, default
factory (unchangable) settings will be displayed as selections
“Cinema”, “Music” and “Sport”.

You can save your settings as customised
/ normalisation settings by pressing the White button

This key can be used to swap the previous or
current programme.
If less than two programmes are available, the programme
number does not change with these commands.
99.. SS//MM//DD KKEEYY ::
It is used for to select stereo, mono or dual
system. When TV in teletext mode, it executes the teletext
character set selection function.
NNOOTTEE::
This key does not select stereo, mono or dual system,
if your TV mono model.
1100.. AAVV ::
Press this button on the RC to select the AV mode. To
return to the TV mode, press the program number or TV
button. Each time you press AV, it goes to AV-1, AV-2 and the
last used TV channel respectively.
As long as there is a menu on the screen, you cannot go into
the AV mode.
In the AV mode, you cannot access the overview menu only.
You can do adjustments related to other menus.

Some models do not have AV-2 feature.

When there is no broadcasting signal, TV SET goes off

The picture settings menu is accessed by pressing either
“blue” key or MENU key. In the picture settings menu, many
values related to the picture can be changed. You can adjust
the brightness, contrast, colour, sharpness and preset settings
according to your wish. You can choose any of them by
PP++//PP--
keys and increase or decrease by
VV++//VV--
keys.
After the changes are done, move the selection bar to the
Memory selection and press the V+ button to save the new
values in memory. If you press
MMEENNUU
key, you will jump to
the next menu. if you press
EEXXIITT
key, you will exit all the
menus.

The sound settings menu is accessed by pressing either
“yellow” key or MENU key. After the changes are done,
move the selection bar to the Memory selection and press the
V+ button to save the new values in memory. In this menu,
the following choices are offered(see picture). You may
choose any of them by
PP++//PP--
keys and increase or decrease
the values by
VV++//VV--
keys.
VVoolluummee ::
The audio output volume of the TV can be set.
**BBaallaannccee::
Indicates the balance between the outputs of the
left and right channels. When the moving menu bar is in the
middle, the relevant line is displayed in yellow.
**BBaassss//TTrreebbllee::
The user may set the bass and treble level with
this choice.
**SStteerreeoo EEffffeecctt::
It changes the stereo effect level for a stereo or
mono broadcasts but this function is available only stereo
models.
**AAVVLL::
It is for automatic volume limiting, this means, when
this function is switched on, it holds the sound level between

This function enables the sound intensity to be
on/off:

When it is opened at the stand-by mode, you will see that the
initial value is “off”.

Some different modes can be choose on this
function. These are:
Music – Speech – Movie – User

In mono TVs this feature does not work, and is not seen on menu.
22..11.. HHEEAADDPPHHOONNEE MMEENNUU
When the “red” key is pressed in the audio settings menu, the
headphone menu is accessed. The headphone control is
available if the headphone option is active. In this menu,
values entered earlier may be changed. After the changes are
done, move the selection bar to the Memory selection and
press the V+ button to save the new values in memory.
Volume, Balance , Treble and Bass control settings are the
same as described in the sound settings menu above. When
the headphone is inserted, the sound from the speaker is
muted. You can listen to only the sound from the headphone.

If you press MENU key, you will return to previous menu; if
you press EXIT key, you will exit all the menus.

The features menu
is accessed by pressing either “green”

menu consists “Language”, “Sleep Timer”, “Eco Switch”
selections. The “Eco Switch” selection is available only for
models with Eco switch option.

This selection is set to “Off” as default value. The
“Child Lock” can be set by password. The default password
is 1,2,3,4 as default value until you will change. The valid
password must be four digit number between 0000 to 9999.
(If you forgot your password please see notes in WARNING
section). Each digit entry is displayed as “*” symbol on the
screen. If you entrede the password correctly, the “Child
Lock” selection is displayed. If you set this selection as “On”
then your TV will ask the password in every switching on. TV
will allow to work only the password entered correctly. If you
want to specify new password, you can move the selection
bar “New Password” by pressing P+ and press the V+ button.
The new password must be four digit number between 0000
to 9999. After your entry completed successfull then
“Repeat” message is displayed and in this case you must
enter your new password once again. If you entered your
password correctly then your new password will be
validated.

The following choices are offered in the Installation menu:
SELECT, CHANGE, DELETE, MOVE, AUTOSTORE. These
choices are used for channel searching and arranging the
program table. Yo can search channels automatic and manual,
delete channel, change the channel settings by pressing
“change”(green button). The menu bar can move through the
program listing by P+/P- buttons. 10 programs are displayed on
the screen at the same time. You can select and watch a
program by “Select” (blue button) selection. V+/V- buttons cn
scroll display for next (or previous) 10 programs. For example
if you selected 29. program you can jump directly to 39.

by pressing the V- button. You can jump to next menu by
pressing the MENU button or you can exit by EXIT button.
When the automatic search operation is finished, the caption

If you press the “White” button on remote control unit in the

This selection allows to start the automatic channel
search procedure from any programme between 0-99.
SSyysstteemm ::
You can specify the TV system according to the valid
system in your country. ( For example the TV system for United
Kingdom is UK). But this feature is selectable only for multi
system TVs, otherwise it is adjusted to valid TV system by default.
SSeeaarrcchh ::
Automatic search is enabled by “Search” selection in
“Auto. Program” menu. You can switch to “On”(enabled) or
“Off”(disabled) this selection by V+/V- buttons.

This function allows the user to delete an undesired
programme in Program Table. You can move selection bar
moving between programmes by using
PP++// PP--
buttons and
press and hold the “red” button a few seconds to delete
programme. The deleted programme is disapeared and other
programmes are shifted to sequently up.

You can enter to “Tuning” menu by pressing “green” button
on remote control unit in “Installation” menu. “Program”,
“Name”, “System”, “Channel”, “Search”, “Fine Tune”, “Store”
selections are available in “Tuning” menu.

You can select the programme number by pressing
V+/V- buttons and move the selection bar to the “Store”
selection to store the existing channel settings in memory.
NNaammee ::
You can name the programs by this menu. Move the
selection bar to the “Name” and press the V+ (or V-) button to
start the write the programme name in name field. The first
character blinks and the character is changed by every your
P+/P- button hit. Press the V+ button to set the next character
(or V- button for previous one) After you finished the naming
the programme, you can move the selection bar to the “Store”
and press the V+ button to store the actual settings.
SSyysstteemm ::
It has the same function like “System” selection in
the “Auto. Program” menu. You can select the TV system
according to your regional broadcast system. This function is
selectable only on the multi system TVs. Otherwise it is
predefined according to your TV system.
Channel : You can define this setting as “C” or “S”. “S” is the
suitable for the cable TV channels.
SSeeaarrcchh ::
If you set the channel as “C” then you can search the
programs between channel 01-69 and for “S” you can search
the programs between channel 01-41. You can start the
search process by pressing the V+ button, if a channel found
by tuner, the search will stop and wait for your decision. If
you want to search the other channel, press the V+ button to
continue the searching process. You can store the programme
settings by selection activating the “Store”. Move the
selection bar to the “Store” by P+ button and press the V+
button to store the channel settings.
FFiinnee ttuunnee::
This option allows the user to do fine tuning in the
desired channel according to his own wishes. This tuning is
done by
VV++//VV--
buttons.
SSttoorree ::

You can move (swap) the location of desired programme.
Move the selection bar on programme line which do you
want to move and press the “Move” (yellow) button, then
move the selection bar to the new location where do you
want to place the selected programme and press the “Move”
(yellow) button to swap programme location. The rest of the
programme table will be sorted again according to your
swapping. You can jump the next menu by Menu button or
leave the menus by Exit button.

When in the TV mode, it enables selection of the menus on

the screen. If the mix key is pressed again, it goes back to the
teletext mode.

IF a teletext page has sub
pages, these sub pages come to the screen at certain
intervals. In such a case, this key is used for holding a
specific sub page continuously on the page. When the page
is held by “HOLD”, a hold icon is displayed on the upper left
corner of the teletext page. If this key is pressed again, it
removes the hold function.

This key enables direct move to
the index page of the teletext.

To operate the DVD Player section please press the "DVD/TV" button on the R/C. DVD logo will appear on the screen.
(By re-pressing the "DVD/TV" button, you can switch your set back to TV mode.)
Then you have to switch your R/C into DVD mode by pressing "Function DVD button"(20) to operate DVD functions.
You can check the active R/C mode by pressing any button.
For example; When you press the DVD related "Play" button, if no blinking is observed on the illuminated buttons, this
means that the R/C is at TV mode and should be switched into DVD mode by pressing "Function DVD" button.
R/C : Remote Control
Note : R/C buttons(blue colored P+,P-,V+,V-,Menu, Mute, TV, Exit buttons) with common usage are operative in both TV
& DVD modes of the R/C. If you press these blue keys, illuminated TV and DVD buttons blink together. By using
"Functions DVD & TV" buttons RC switches between TV & DVD functions. When a function is performed, accordingly
related illuminated TV or DVD button blinks.
