About the Live Set Remain Function
Check the version
The Live Set Remain function was added in JUNO-Gi version 1.10. If the version is earlier than 1.10, download the update from the support page
(http://www.roland.com/support/) g Downloads g product name (JUNO-Gi) g JUNO-Gi System Program Version 1.10, and update your
JUNO-Gi.
* If this supplementary manual was included with a new JUNO-Gi you purchased, your instrument has already been updated to version 1.10 or later;
you do not need to update.
How to check the version
Select the [MENU] button g “SYSTEM” g [6] (INFORMATION).
What is the Live Set Remain Function?
If you turn on the Live Set Remain function, the currently-playing notes will no longer be interrupted when you switch sounds (Live Sets).

Setting Procedure
To set the Live Set Remain function, go to [MENU] button g “SYSTEM” g [1] (GENERAL) g [2] (SOUND), and edit the newly added “Live Set Remain”
parameter.
Parameter Value Explanation
Live Set Remain OFF, ON Species whether currently sounding notes will continue sounding when another sound (Live Set) is selected (ON), or not (OFF).
* For details on operations in the SYSTEM settings, refer to JUNO-Gi Owner’s Manual “Making System Settings” (p. 80).
Limitations of the Live Set Remain function
* When you switch sounds, the currently-playing notes will be heard with the eect settings and volume (Live Set Common Level) of the next-selected
sound. This means that depending on the eect settings, the currently-playing notes might be heard dierently, or the sound might be interrupted.
* If the on/o setting of the arpeggiator or chord memory has changed as a result of switching sounds, the notes will be interrupted.
* If the setting of the Arpeggio Destination has changed as a result of switching sounds, the notes might be interrupted.
The Arpeggio Destination is a Live Set parameter. For details, refer to JUNO-Gi Owners Manual “LIVE SET EDIT 3 Screen” (p. 38).
