Important Safety Instructions (English)
Read the following instructions thoroughly before starting up your printer.
The device and mains-socket must all times be easily accessible.
Never carry out maintenance or repair work yourself. Always contact a qualified service
technician.
Keep this user guide in a place which is easily accessible at all times.
Place the printer on a solid and even base so that it cannot fall.
Never place the printer in the vicinity of inflammable gas or explosive substances.
Ensure the printer is connected to a socket with the correct voltage.
Always disconnect the printer from the power before opening the device to perform
maintenance work or remedy errors.
Do not expose the printer to high temperatures, direct sunlight or dust.
Keep all liquids away from the printer.
Protect the printer from shock, impact and vibration.
Make sure that both the printer and the computer are switched off before connecting the data
cable.
The print head will become very hot during printing; avoid contact with the print head after
printing has finished.
Do not perform any operation or action in any way other than those provided in this manual.
When in doubt, contact your dealer or your customer support.

1 INTRODUCTION
The Dascom® DM-310/320 is ideally suited for point of sale applications that require color or
monochromatic one, two, or three-ply receipts. This robust, impact printer features the latest
technological advances including; drop-in paper loading, compact design, logic seeking head, built-in
programmable buzzer, and ESC/POS compatibility. The DM-310/320 is available in two models;
standard, and auto-cutter. All models are powered by an external AC adapter and feature user-
replaceable interface boards (serial, parallel, USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth). The DM-310/320
can also be wall-mounted and is ideal for kitchen slips, delivery slips, coupons, tickets, receipts, or daily
reports.

Cautions concerning the roll paper
Starting to wind the roll paper (interior end) processing (with center core)
It must not be folded and its internal diameter must be even.
It must not be rolled back.
There must be no glue on its center core.
It must be wound with its printing side facing outwards.
When it is 2P paper, there must be no glue between the top and bottom sheets.
In the case of 3P paper, there must be no glue on the top, middle, or bottom papers.
Use pressure sensitive paper with total thickness no greater than 0.20mm and remember that the
printer will not cut paper with total thickness greater than 0.14mm.

If you use pressure sensitive paper with total thickness greater than 0.14mm, either do not use the
cutter or else rewind the bottom paper with the rewinder to reduce the total thickness (top paper +
middle paper) to 0.14mm or less.

1.6 Unpacking
When you receive the printer, please check for possible shipping damage:
1. Inspect the outside of both the box and the printer for possible damage.
2. Open the top cover of the printer to see if the media compartments are in order.
If you discover shipping damage upon inspection:
Immediately notify the shipping company and file a damage report.
Keep all packaging material for shipping company inspection.
Notify your authorized Tally Dascom reseller.
