Charge and recharge
Attention!
Do not overcharge the Power Pack, as it will be damaged.
Read the corresponding instructions carefully.
On delivery the Power Pack is already partially charged by the manufacturer. It is
recommended to charge the appliance completely after purchase or before first use.
Charge the power pack, if charge status display lights up red. The LED display is
illuminated during charging process. If charging process is terminated, press the
battery test switch and the LED should light up green. The LED only ceases when plug
is removed from the appliance. Do not charge the power pack longer then 24 hours
non-stop. Do not charge the power pack on boats, boat ramps or similar, as it could
cause short circuits when the Power Pack gets wet. Only charge the Power Pack in an
upright position. Take care, that the battery clamps are kept in the provided cases.
Charge with power plug
Put the plug of the power supply into the input socket of the Power Pack. Put the power
plug into the socket of your main current. Initially charge the Power Pack 24 hours
continuously. For all further charges or after use charge 20h max. After charging
process at first remove the power plug and then the plug from the Power Pack.
Charge with 12V lead for cigarette lighter outlet
Put the plug of the power supply into the input socket of the Power Pack. Put the plug
into the outlet of the cigarette lighter. Charge the Power Pack for approx. 6-8 hours with
engine running. After charging process at first remove the plug from the cigarette
lighter outlet and then the plug from the power pack.
Start-up the engine of your car
ATTENTION!
Cars with on-board computer systems can be battered if the car battery is started with
the Power Pack. At first read manufacturers operating manual, if an external jump start
can be used. If you do not follow the instructions, it can cause damages. Wear
protective goggles, if you want to start the battery.
Switch off the ignition and all consumption leads like radios, bulbs, air condition. Pull
the hand brake and for cars with automatic gearboxes switch the lever into the parking
position. Ascertain the poles of the car battery. Mostly the positive pole (POS, P, +) has
a slightly larger diameter then the negative pole (NEG, N, -). If you are not sure, look
up the car manufacturers operating manual. Find out, if your car has a negative
earthing. The negative pole is earthed with the chassis, like most cars. The positive
pole is earthed with the chassis or with another part of the car. In case of doubt see
manual of car manufacturer.
Negative earthed system
Fix the positive (+) red clamp to the positive pole (POS, P, +) of the car battery. Fix the
negative (-) black clamp carefully to the chassis or the engine block. Do not fix the
black clamp directly on the negative pole of the battery. For start-up procedure see
point 5.
Positive earthed system
Fix the negative (-) black clamp to the negative (NEG, N, -) unearthed pole of the car
battery. Fix the positive (+) red clamp carefully on the chassis or the engine block. Do
not fix the red clamp directly to the plus pole. For start-up procedure see point 5.
Wait 2-3 minutes. It is recommended to call another person to hold the power pack to
keep it from dropping. Turn the ignition key to start the engine. If the engine does not
start after 4-5 attempts, interrupt procedure. Wait some minutes and try again. Repeat
the procedure until the engine starts.
ATTENTION! Repeated start-up procedure can damage the starter of your car.
When the engine starts, but powers down again, this could be caused be other
technical problems. Interrupt start-up procedure and look for other causes.
Remove battery clamps in following sequence: For negative earthed system at first the
black, then the red clamp. For positive earthed system at first the red, then the black
clamp.
Compressor usage
ATTENTION!
It is vital to check at first the parameters recommended by the manufacturer for the
product to be inflated.
Inflate car tyre
Remove the valve cap from the tyre valve. Take care, that the Power Pack quick
release valve is open. Shove the quick release valve over the valve as far as possible.
Pull the locking lever down and make sure, that the lock is fixed tightly on the valve.
Bring the ON/OFF switch into ON position.
NOT
ICE: In case the tyre is completely void of air, slightly lift the car with the car jack.
Read off the current values from the manometer. NOTICE: The pressure should also
be checked with another separate tyre gauge. If the required pressure is reached, turn
off the compressor, open the quick release valve and remove it from the valve. Put the
valve cap back on.
- Inflation of leisure wear like balls, airbeds, etc.
- Check the manufacturers parameters for the pressure.
- Remove valve cap.
- Carefully shove the appropriate adapter over the quick release valve as far as
possible and lock it.
- Shove the other end of the adapter as far as possible over the valve of the product
you want to inflate.
- Bring the ON/OFF switch into ON position.
- Read off the current values from the manometer. If the required pressure is reached,
turn off the compressor, remove the adapter from the valve and put the valve cap
back on.
