Functional Bottle Jack
Instructions for use:
1. From the jack’s highest lift point (starting
position out of the box), pull out the handle
and use the head to rotate the pressure
relief valve counterclockwise for 1 ½ turns
2. Slowly press the ram to the bottom and
rotate the relief valve clockwise for 1 ½
turns
3. Insert the handle into the handle socket,
and rotate the handle
When using the jack for the first time:
1. Press down the ram and pump the
handle slowly
a. If the speed is too fast, the hydraulic
oil and air in the cylinder will create bubbles
2. Once the hydraulic oil pressure is raised,
a small amount of hydraulic oil will be
discharged from the exhaust hole
a. This is a normal occurrence that will
cease after multiple cycles of work

Additional Information:
1. Vertical jacks can only be used vertically, not horizontally or upside down
2. If you notice the Ram not going to full extension, use a syringe to add more hydraulic oil to the
filler plug
3. When storing the jack, keep the jack at full extension and do not lie it on its side. This could
cause excessive leaking out of the filler plug
