Installing the Camera
1. Use the included Allen key to loosen the adjustment screw
on the dome cover.
2. Rotate the camera base counter-clockwise to separate it
from the ball camera and dome cover.
3. Use the included mounting template to mark and drill
holes for the included mounting screws.
4. Feed the camera cable through the camera base.
5. Connect the video and power cable as detailed in the
section ‘Setting up the Camera’.
6. Attach the camera base to the mounting surface using
the included screws.
7. Position the dome cover over the ball camera and
twist clockwise onto the camera base. Do not tighten
completely.
8. Move the ball camera to the desired position. While
holding the ball camera in place, twist the dome cover the
rest of the way to secure it to the camera base. Holding
the camera prevents it from moving while tightening the
dome cover.
9. Use the included Allen key to tighten the adjustment
screw on the dome cover.
NOTE: Insert the included drywall anchors if installing
into drywall.

Setting up the Camera
WARNING:
A REGULATED UL 12V DC power supply is REQUIRED for use with this camera. Use
of a common ground power supply will result in image quality degradation. Use of
a non-regulated, non-conforming power supply can damage this product and void
the warranty.
1. Connect the BNC connector on the camera to the video
cable. See “Camera Wiring” for details.
2. Connect the included power pigtail to the camera. Connect
the terminating wires of the cable directly to the DC power
source.
OR
Connect an individually grounded 12V DC power adapter
(not included) to the camera and a local power outlet.

is recommended not to extend the power connection past 200ft (61m).

AUDIO: Connect an external
microphone. See the section
“On-Screen Display (OSD) Menu”
to switch to the external from
the built-in microphone.
ATTENTION:
Audio is disabled by default.
Audio recording and / or use of listen-in audio without
consent is illegal in certain jurisdictions. FLIR Systems, Inc. assumes no liability for
use of its products that does not conform with local laws.
NOTE: Audio recording and listen-in audio are only supported in MPX/
CVI mode using the built-in microphone. Not supported in AHD or TVI.
To enable audio recording on an MPX DVR:
1. In the Live View, right-click and click Main Menu. Enter the system
user name (default: admin) and DVR password.
2. Click
and select Recording > Recording.
3. Under Channel, select the channel where the audio-capable camera
is connected.
4. Under Audio/Video, check the box on the left to enable audio
recording.
5. Under Audio Format, select the format that will be used to record
audio. G711a is recommended.
6. Click OK to save changes.
To enable listen-in audio on an MPX DVR:
NOTE: Listen-in audio requires a monitor with speakers, or speakers
connected to the DVR.
1. In Live View, double-click the camera channel to open in full-screen.
2. Hover near the top of the channel where the camera is connected
and click to unmute (
) / mute ( ) listen-in audio.
