IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed, including
the following:
1. Read all instructions. Misuse of appliance may
result in personal injury.
2. To protect against risk of electrical shock do not put
appliance in water or other liquid.
3. This appliance is not intended for use by persons
(including children) with reduced physical, sensory
or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and
knowledge, unless they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a
person responsible for their safety.
4. Avoid contacting moving parts. Keep hands, hair,
clothing, as well as spatulas and other utensils away
from beater during operation to reduce the risk of injury
to persons and/or damage to the appliance.

5. This appliance can be used by children aged
from 8 years and above and persons with reduced
physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of
experience and knowledge if they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the
appliance in a safe way and understand hazards
involved. Children shall not play with the appliance.
Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
6. Children should be supervised to ensure they do
not play with the appliance. Do not allow children to
use the Cook Processor without supervision. Care
should be taken when used near children.
7. Unplug the appliance from outlet when not in use,
before putting on or taking off parts, and before
cleaning.
8. Do not operate appliance with damaged cord or plug
or after the appliance malfunctions, or is dropped or
damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the
nearest Authorised Service Centre for examination,
repair or electrical or mechanical adjustment.
9. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by
KitchenAid may cause re, electrical shock, or injury.
10. Do not use the appliance outdoors.
11. Do not let the cord hang over edge of table or counter.
12. The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high
when the appliance is operating.
13. The appliance is not intended to be operated by means
of an external timer or separate remote-control system
except as provided with the appliance and instructed
in the manual.
14. Do not immerse the drive assembly in water.

15. To reduce the risk of injury, never place cutting blade
or discs on base without rst putting bowl properly
in place.
16. Be certain cover is securely locked in place before
operating appliance.
17. Do not attempt to defeat the cover interlock
mechanism.
18. Be careful if hot liquid is poured into the Cook
Processor as it can be ejected out of the appliance
due to a sudden steaming.
19. Care shall be taken when handling the sharp cutting
blades, emptying the bowl, and during cleaning.
20. If the bowl is overlled, boiling water may be ejected.
21. The appliance is only to be used with the base
provided.
22. CAUTION: Ensure that the appliance is switched off
before removing it from its base.
23. The heating element surface is subject to residual heat
after use.
24. The Cook Processor should be positioned in a stable
situation with the handles positioned to avoid spillage
of hot liquids.

1. Plug into an earthed outlet. The Cook
Processor should be the only appliance
operating on the circuit. The Cook
Processor is now ready to use.
2. Turn the main power switch to I (ON).
3. The first time the Cook Processor is
turned on, you will be prompted to
select a display language. Turn the knob
to scroll to the desired language, then
press the knob to select.
NOTE: You may change the language at
any time from the Settings menu (see the
“Settings” section).
4. You will now be prompted to connect
your Cook Processor to your Wi-Fi
network. Turn the knob to YES and press
to select. To connect to your Wi-Fi and
smartphone app, follow the instructions
in the “Connecting your Cook Processor”
section. You may connect your Cook
Processor to your Wi-Fi and smartphone
app at any time from the Settings menu.
PREPARING THE COOK PROCESSOR FOR USE
FIRST STEPS
Be sure to:
Place the Cook Processor on a dry, flat,
level surface such as a countertop or
table.
Provide enough room above
the Cook Processor to open lid and
remove bowl.
Remove all packaging materials, if
present.
Wash lid and attachments in hot, sudsy
water and rinse thoroughly. Wipe out
inside of bowl with a damp cloth. Do not
immerse bowl. Dry thoroughly.

TEMPERATURE
Use this button to set the cooking
temperature during Manual Cooking
mode, or to change the temperature
in a programmed recipe.
TIMER
The timer can be used as a cooking timer
or as a kitchen timer. For use with cooking
modes, see the “Using Manual Cooking
modes” section. For use as a kitchen timer,
see the “Timer option” section.
WEIGHT/TARE
Your Cook Processor has a built-in scale.
Use the Weight button to weigh food for
recipes. The Tare button will zero out the
weight of the dish or bowl your food is in.
See the “Weighing ingredients” section.
CANCEL
Use this button to cancel a cook program
in progress.
SPEED
The Speed button allows you to change
the speed of your blades, StirAssist, or
Egg Whip during a programmed recipe
or Manual Cooking mode.
SETTINGS
This button takes you to the Settings menu.

RECIPE
Use the Recipe button to download recipes,
load a recipe, or manage your recipe book.
PULSE
This button allows you to run the installed

Your KitchenAid Cook Processor is Wi-Fi-enabled to work through an app loaded onto
your smartphone. To download and install the app to your smartphone, go to the Apple
Store or Google Play Store.
The KitchenAid app is available for the iOS™ and Android™ operating systems.

NEED HELP?
If you are unable to use your app and/or are not receiving push notifications, check
the following:
Be sure your wireless router is connected to the internet and the Wi-Fi indicator is on.
Be sure you have set up an User Account, and that you have registered your appliance
on your smartphone app.
Be sure that you have the push notifications activated on your remote app.
SETTING UP YOUR NETWORK CONNECTION
If you chose YES at Welcome Step 2, you will already be at the Wi-Fi screen. Otherwise,
press the SETTINGS button to go to the Settings menu in order to connect to your Wi-Fi.
1. Turn the knob to scroll through the
Settings menu and press the knob once
Wi-Fi is selected.
2. Press the knob to select CONNECT TO
NETWORK.
3. You will now be instructed to download
the KitchenAid App. You may download
the app from either the Apple Store or
Google Play Store.
4. Open the KitchenAid app and sign in to
your KitchenAid account. If you do not
have an account, you will need to create
one in order to continue. The app will
walk you through this process.
5. Once you are in the app and signed
in, you will be instructed to add an
appliance. Again, the app will prompt
you on each step.
NOTE: By using the KitchenAid app, you
will have access to the most up-to-date
software and instructions for connecting
to your Cook Processor.
6. Both the status display on your Cook
Processor and your KitchenAid app
will inform you if the connection was
successful or not. If it was not successful,
you may be instructed to try a different
method. Follow the instructions as
prompted in your app.
Make sure:
Your appliance is an 802.11g device.
Please check that your wireless network
is compatible.
Your Wi-Fi-enabled appliance is properly
installed and turned on.
Your wireless router is turned on and
you have an internet connection.

RECIPES
DOWNLOADING RECIPES
You will automatically be given the opportunity to download recipes upon successful
connection to your Wi-Fi network.
1. To begin download of recipes: select
YES. If you do not wish to download
immediately, select NO. You may
download recipes at any time by
pressing the RECIPES button on the
control panel.
2. Your download will automatically
begin. A new screen showing the word
“Complete” will display if download is
successful.
NOTE: You may also download recipes
using the KitchenAid Connect app.
MANAGING RECIPES FROM THE RECIPES MENU
Upon initial setup, you will be prompted to download recipes once the Cook Processor
is connected to your Wi-Fi. If you choose not to download recipes at that time, you will
be able to do so at any time by pressing the RECIPE button, or from the KitchenAid
Connect app.
In order to download recipes, Wi-Fi must be enabled and the Cook Processor must
be connected to your Wi-Fi. Go to the SETTINGS menu to enable and connect to
your Wi-Fi.
Once you’ve downloaded recipes, you can manage them from the Recipes menu by
pressing the RECIPES button.
Recipes are organised in the following groups:
Category
Choose this group when looking for a
specific type of food being prepared such
as appetisers and soups, desserts, etc.
Time
Choose this group when you need the
food completed within a specific length
of time.
Alphabetical
Choose this group if you know the exact
name of the recipe.
Favourites
Choose this group if the recipe you’re
looking for is one you’ve bookmarked
using your KitchenAid app.
NOTE: If the Cook Processor is not
connected to the Wi-Fi, Favourites will still
appear in the menu, but an error code will
display if you try to access them.
To mark a recipe as a favourite, select the
heart icon located next to the recipe name.
These three functions can all be changed using the same steps.
1. Turn the knob to select either
LANGUAGE, TEMPERATURE, or
WEIGHT.
2. Your available choices will be displayed.
Turn the knob to scroll or toggle to your
preference.
3. Press the knob to select and save.

IMPORTANT: Do not unplug the Cook Processor while the upgrade is in progress. The
process can take up to 30 minutes, during which time the product cannot be used.
To provide the best user experience, the Cook Processor may receive software updates
from time to time. When an upgrade is available, a message will display in the app
asking if you wish to update now or later. If you choose later, you will need to keep the
Cook Processor plugged in to the outlet so that the update can be received.
To check for updates using the Cook Processor controls, follow these steps:
1. From the Settings menu, check
SOFTWARE. If there is an update, the
message “Update available” will be
displayed.
2. Select SOFTWARE. You will be given the
option to update now or later. If you do
not wish to update, select NO to return
to the Settings menu. If you do wish to
update, select YES. The update progress
will be displayed.
3. Once the update is complete, your Cook
Processor will return you to the Home
screen.
1. From the Settings menu, choose
SOUNDS.
2. Scroll to the sound you wish to change
and press the knob to select.
3. You will be given the option to choose
between OFF, LOW, or HIGH.

TIMER OPTION
The timer can be used as a cooking timer or as a kitchen timer. For use with manual
cooking modes, see the “Using Manual Cooking modes” section.
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS
1. Press (timer). The time indicator will
blink 00:00.
2. Turn the knob right or left to increase
or decrease the time. Press the knob
to select when the desired time is
displayed.
3. Press (Start) to begin the countdown.
A tone will sound when the countdown
reaches 00:00.

USING THE TARE FUNCTION
You can use the (Weight) function
to weigh your ingredients at any time
during Manual Cooking mode. If using
a programmed recipe, you will be
instructed to weigh your ingredients at the
appropriate time.
1. Press . Weight will show as 0000.
2. Add ingredients being weighed to bowl.
3. To return to the main menu or to weigh
more ingredients, press again.
If you wish to weigh ingredients before
beginning a recipe and don’t wish to
dirty the bowl, you can use the (Tare)
function to weigh ingredients in a separate
container.
1. Place empty container in bowl and
press .
2. The container will be tared and the
weight will display as 0000.
3. Remove container and add ingredients
being weighed to it.
4. Place container with ingredients in bowl.
5. Once the weight is displayed, remove
container and press to return to main
menu.
PULSE
Press Pulse (pulse) to run the installed
attachment at high speed. Release to stop.
The timer will count up as long as
Pulse is held down.
IMPORTANT: To avoid splashing or
excess vibration, do not use Pulse
with StirAssist. Always follow the

USING THE ROUND INTERNAL STEAMER BASKET
USING STEAMER BASKETS
The Cook Processor includes two different types of steamer baskets that can be used
when cooking in certain modes.

Place the bowl on the base, making
sure it locks into place. If the bowl is
not locked in place, BOWL UNLOCKED
will show in the display.

Open the lid of the bowl and
remove any food processing
attachments, if desired.

Add ingredients or water to the
bowl, according to the recipe.

Place the internal steamer basket in
the bowl.

Place food to be steamed in the
basket. Close and latch the lid, then
engage the lid-locking lever. Be sure
the measuring cup is in place.

Add ingredients or water to the
bowl, according to the recipe.

Place food to be steamed in the
lower steamer basket, then place the
basket on top of the bowl.

Stack the upper and lower steamer
baskets together to steam two
different foods at once. After
ingredients are added, cover with
the steamer lid.
USING THE UPPER AND LOWER STEAMER BASKETS
The upper and lower steamer baskets can be used together. You can also use the lower
steamer basket by itself, or with the inner steamer basket.

disconnecting it from the hinge.
