Dismantling Procedure.
1. Check external surfaces for excessive corrosion.
2. Ensure that all valves are closed and that the line is fully vented to
atmosphere.
3. Whilst supporting the filter body (6) to prevent excessive strain on
pipework, undo and remove the top cap (1) Figure A.
4. Taking care not to let debris fall down the gas pipe, carefully remove
the filter element (4) Figure B.
5. Clean and examine the filter element (4) and “O” ring seal (2) and
replace as necessary.
Rebuilding Procedure.
NOTE: Inspect sealing "O" ring, and replace if necessary.
The use of Molykote 111 "O" ring lubricant is recommended during the
rebuild- unless for use with oxygen when no lubricant should be used.
1. Ensure that all components are clean and free from debris. Pay
particular attention to the “O” ring groove in the top face of the body
(6) and the element sealing faces at the bottom of the body (6) and
underside of top cap (1).
2. Insert filter element (4) into body (6) and locate in recess in bottom of
body.
3. Lightly lubricate the “O” ring (2) with Dow Corning Molycote 55M
silicone grease (unless unit was originally supplied with alternative
lubricant for special conditions) and fit into groove in top face of body (6).
4. Carefully screw top cap (1) onto body (2) and tighten. Take care not to
over stress the pipework.
5. Recommission system.
