Preinstalled OS Recovery Procedures
This document describes the recovery procedures in a case where OS becomes unable to start up on a preinstalled-OS
system.
[Target OS]
- Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSB 2016 Multi Language (English/Japanese/Chinese/Korea)

- Before using a bundled recovery media, be sure to read the provided license agreements (END USER LICENSE
AGREEMENT about respective OS and Easy Restore license agreement). You can use this recovery media only if
you agree to the license descriptions.
- Use of the provided recovery media is allowed only for the purpose of restoring preinstalled OS. Using the media for
other purposes than OS recovery is prohibited.
- The content of the silicon disk returns to the state when our company is shipped by restoring it by recovery media.
Take the backup in important data beforehand.
- Company names and product names in this document are their trademarks or registered trademarks.
1. Require Devices
The Recovery uses USB connection’s DVD-ROM Drive. Please prepare a necessary equipment according to DVD-ROM
used.
- CPS-BXC200 series
- Display (Analog RGB or Display Port)
- USB Keyboard
- USB Mouse
- USB DVD-ROM Drive
- Provided Recovery Media (inside package)
* Please remove if there is a storage device to the USB interface and CFast slot of the front body.
Also, please remove it even when the stack module is connected.

2. Recovery Procedures
2-1. CMOS Settings
Please set recovery media to a USB DVD -ROM drive, and connect with controller.
Turn on the power supply of controller and Press [DEL] key or [ESC] key immediately after turning on the power, activating
Aptio Setup Utility.
Step 1
Press [F3] key, select [Load Optimized Defaults].
Please select [Yes] and press [ENTER] key.
Step 2
Press [] key, select [Boot] menu.
Please assign a DVD drive to "Boot Option #1"
Supplement
[UEFI: XXXXXXX] :
USB DVD-ROM Drive Name which connects is displayed.
When the drive of [UEFI: XXXXXXX] is not displayed, reboot once in Step 3 and display the Boot menu again.
Step 3
Press [F4] key, select [Save & Exit Setup].
Please [ENTER] key If you save configuration.

2-2. Booting Recovery System
Step 1
When you receive the confirmation message, please
press Y key and ENTER key.
(If you do not continue the recovery, press N key.)
Step 2
Recovery is performed automatically.
Step 3
On the way, you will be asked for the second piece of
recovery media.
Replace the media and press the [ENTER] key.
Step 4
When finished, remove the recovery media from the
USB DVD - ROM drive and restart by pressing any
key.
Step 5
After power ON, press [DEL] key or [ESC] key immediately, Aptio Setup Utility starts.
Press F3 key, select [Load Optimized Defaults].
Please enter If the confirmation screen displayed.

The screen of the left figure is displayed after several times reboot.
Please elect the language used and advance installation of
Windows 10.
After recovery of Windows 10, please do installation and various
property setup of application and restore a system.
Please refer to the setup manual of an attached sheet “Setup
Procedure for Models with Pre-Installed OS”
