Connections
Before any of the speakers can be connected with speaker wire, you will first need to install the floor stands
for each of the 4 floor standing speakers. To do this, follow the instructions below.
Sound Source Connection
01.
02.
03.
To create a pedestal, simply slide the
pedestal feet through their designated
pre-drilled holes in each of the four
corners of the speaker stand.
Next, with the provided screws, simply
twist the screws into the provided
pre-drilled holes until firm. Tighten only
enough to secure screws. If screws are
tightened too much, this could cause
fractures in the glass speaker.
When all the screws have been fit on,
double check each screw to make sure
they are firmly in place.

Connections
Before Connecting The HT50 Speakers
Connect the front, center, and surround
speakers to the speaker output terminals
of the active subwoofer with the provided
speaker cables.
Connect each speaker making sure not to
reverse the polarity (+ / -). If the speaker
is connected with reverse polarity, the
sound will be unnatural and lack bass.
01. Strip the insulation from the end of each wire of the speaker cable. Twist the strands of the bare
wire tightly (see Figure A).
02. For the binding post, loosen the screw knob of the speakers input terminal and insert the wire into
the input terminal from below. Make sure that only the bare wire (and no insulation) is inserted
into the hole. Ensure that the wire is not touching the other terminal. Tighten the screw knob (see
Figure B).
03.
.
For the spring clip, press the spring clip of the speaker's input terminal and insert the bare wires
into the terminal hole. Release the spring clip and the wire is grabbed (see Figure C).

placing the battery into the remote control that its "Positive" (+) and "Negative" (-) polarities match
the icon located on the remote control when inserting.
02.
Note: Do not irradiate light on the remote control sensor. Do not put any obstacle between the remote
control and sensor. Do not use this remote control at the time of operating other device remote controls.
Remote transmission range
Aim the remote control at the subwoofer sensor window. The distance to the subwoofer should be
less than 21 feet (approximately), within 30 and no obstacles in path.
Note: Do not use other model batteries. Never drop, step, or hit the remote control. These actions can
cause severe damage to the parts inside of the remote and could cause malfunctions.

General Operations
Speaker Placement: Subwoofer
If you are listening from the center of the room, there may be times when you will not obtain super bass
performance from the subwoofer. This is because standing sound waves are better developed when
between two parallel walls and they will cancel out the bass sound. In such a case, face the subwoofer
obliquely to the wall. It may also be helpful to place a bookshelf or another piece as a divider between
the sound waves so they do not cancel each other.
Place the center speaker as close as you can to the top or bottom of the television set. Make sure before
letting go of the speaker, it is sitting on a stable, flat surface.
NOTE: Placing the speaker on an unsteady, non-flat surface can create a dangerous hazard. This could also
lead to severe damage to the speaker unit and/or any other object below the speaker.
It is recommended to place the subwoofer on the outside of
either the right or left main speaker (see Figure A). The
placement shown in Figure B is also possible. However, if the
subwoofer system is placed directly facing the wall, the bass
effect may be muffled because the sound from the
subwoofer and the reflected sound off the wall may cancel
out each other. To prevent this from happening, face the
subwoofer system at an angle, such as shown in Figure A.

General Operations
Speaker Placement: Floor Speakers
The positioning of the speakers is important because it controls the whole sound quality of this system.
Place the speakers depending upon the style of your listening. The model below shows the traditional
setup of 5.1-channel surround sound speakers.
This speaker package employs a 5 speaker configuration. 1 center speaker, 2 front speakers, and 2 surround
speakers. The front speakers are used for the main source of sound. The surround speakers are used for the
surround sounds and the center speaker is used for center sounds (ie. dialogue).
When placing the front speakers, distance them equally on both sides of the television/screen. The
surround speakers should be placed behind your designated listening location. These speakers should also
be facing inward about 6 feet from the floor.
Place the center speaker directly between the 2 front speakers. Make sure the position of the center
speaker has equal space on each side to each of the front speakers.
For a detailed view, see figure above.

Trouble Shooting
If you are having trouble with the unit, try turning “Off the unit for 30 seconds and then turning it back
“On . If this doesn’t seem to correct any of the problems, please contact a qualified technician.
Do not attempt to open the unit yourself. There are no user-serviceable parts inside and could cause risk of
electric shock. Do not attempt to fix the unit on your own as this may cause the warranty to void.
I can not hear any
sound.
The remote is not
working properly.
The sound is muffled.
Make sure the volume of all the speakers are turned up.
Check to see if the unit is in Mute mode.
Check the power cord.
Make sure the battery is in correctly.
Make sure you are less than 21 feet away from the remote control sensor.
Make sure there are no obstacles in the view of the remote control to the
remote control sensor.
Check the speaker connections. Each polarity should match (+/+) - (-/-).
Check to see that the speaker terminals are connected correctly.
Check the positioning of the speakers and subwoofer. Make sure there is
not any wave cancellation taking place.
