Loading the detergent
A successful wash also depends on the correct amount of

Starting the dishwasher
1. Turn the water tap on.
2. Open the door and load the racks (
see Loading the Racks
).
3. Measure out the detergent (
see adjacent figure
) and close
the door.
4. Press the ON/OFF button; you will hear a short beep and all
the indicator lights on the control panel will light up for a few
seconds.
5. Use button P to select the desired programme according to
the type of crockery inside the dishwasher and its soil level
(
see Table of Wash Cycles
); the Start/Pause button flashes
and the arrows corresponding to the stages included in the
selected wash cycle light up: Pre-wash, Wash, Rinse and
Drying.
6. If you do not wish to set any options (
see Wash Options*
),
press the Start/Pause button; a prolonged beep signals the
start of the wash cycle and the arrow corresponding to the
stage in progress lights up.
7. At the end of the wash cycle 2 short beeps followed by a
longer one will sound, and the vertical bar corresponding to
the END stage will light up. The Start/Pause button switches
off.
8. Wait for a few minutes before opening the door, in order to
avoid burns. Press the ON/OFF button, unplug the appliance
and shut off the water tap.
9. Wait for a few minutes before removing the crockery, in order
to avoid burns. Unload the racks, beginning with the lower
level.
The order in which the different wash cycles are displayed
will change according to the frequency with which each cycle is
used.
Modifying a wash cycle in progress
If a mistake was made during the wash cycle selection
process it is possible to change the cycle, provided that it has
only just begun.
Once the wash cycle has started, switch off the machine by
pressing and holding the ON/OFF button. Switch it back on
using the same button and select the desired wash cycle and
options.
Adding extra crockery
Press the Start/Pause button; you will hear a short beep. Open
the door, taking care to avoid the escaping steam, and place
the crockery inside the dishwasher. Press the Start/Pause
button: the cycle will restart after a prolonged beep is emitted.
If the Start/Pause button is pressed the wash cycle or the
Delayed Start function (if selected) is interrupted.
At this stage it is not possible to change the wash cycle.
Child safety lock
The control panel lock function can only be activated while the
dishwasher is switched on, when a cycle is in progress or paused.
To lock the control panel, press the "KEY" button for a few sec-
onds; ; the button will light up and a long beep sounds to signal
the activation of the function. To deactivate it, press the "KEY"
button again for a few seconds; the button switches off and a
long beep confirms it has been deactivated.
Accidental interruptions
If the door is opened during the wash cycle, or if there is a
power cut, the wash cycle or Delayed Start option (if selected)
is interrupted.
The wash cycle will start up again once the power is restored
or after the door has been shut.
