1.1 SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS – This manual contains important safety and operating instructions.

1.2 Use and store the product in a dry and ventilated location.

1.3 Do not use near ammable fumes or gases.

1.4 Do not operate the unit if it has received a sharp blow, been dropped, or otherwise damaged in any way;

take it to a qualied service person.

1.5 Do not disassemble the unit. If repair is required, contact Customer Service for assistance.

2. ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS

2.1 Unfold the solar charger and remove the protective lm.

3. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

3.1 Charging the Internal Battery of the Portable Power Generator

NOTE: Do not use the generator while charging its internal battery.

3.2 Place the unfolded solar charger in a location that provides direct sunlight to the solar cell. Make sure

that no shadow is cast onto the solar cell to ensure better power output.

3.3 Tilt the solar panel at a suitable angle. The right angle can be same as your local latitude (additional

support may be necessary.)

NOTE: The solar charger generates electricity in proportion to the amount of sunlight exposed to the

solar panel.The peak generation of power is on a clear day when the sun in at a correct angle to the solar

panel. Clouds, seasonal variation of solar angle, dust/dirt on solar panel, off-azimuth orientation, and any

incidental shading could decrease the performance of solar panel.

3.4 Open the pocket on the back of the solar charger case to access the charging plug. Insert the charging plug

into the generator’s Solar Charging input port. The

Solar Charging icon will show on the generator’s

display. The solar panel can provide up to 40% of a charge per day, in full sun.

3.5 When the internal battery is fully charged, all ve bars of the Battery Capacity indicator on the

generator’s display will show.

3.6 Unplug the solar panel from the generator’s input port and then return the charging cable to the pocket.

4. MAINTENANCE AND CARE

4.1 Unplug the solar charger before cleaning.

4.2 For optimum performance, protect the solar cell from dust, dirt, and other debris. Clean with mild

detergent and water only.

4.3 Fold with the solar panel facing in.

4.4 Store in a clean, dry location.

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

Use the included LED tester to verify

that the solar panel is producing power.

Replace the solar panel, if necessary.

Make sure 12V plug is correctly connected

to the generator’s solar charging input port.

Schumacher Electric Corporation (the “Manufacturer”) warrants this solar panel for one (1) year

from the date of purchase at retail against defective material or workmanship that may occur under

normal use and care. If your unit is not free from defective material or workmanship, Manufacturer’s

obligation under this warranty is solely to repair or replace your product with a new or reconditioned

unit at the option of the Manufacturer. It is the obligation of the purchaser to forward the unit,

along with proof of purchase and mailing charges prepaid to the Manufacturer or its authorized

representatives in order for repair or replacement to occur.

Manufacturer does not provide any warranty for any accessories used with this product that are

not manufactured by Schumacher Electric Corporation and approved for use with this product.

This Limited Warranty is void if the product is misused, subjected to careless handling, repaired, or

modied by anyone other than Manufacturer or if this unit is resold through an unauthorized retailer.

Manufacturer makes no other warranties, including, but not limited to, express, implied or statutory

warranties, including without limitation, any implied warranty of merchantability or implied warranty of

tness for a particular purpose. Further, Manufacturer shall not be liable for any incidental, special or

consequential damage claims incurred by purchasers, users or others associated with this product,

including, but not limited to, lost prots, revenues, anticipated sales, business opportunities, goodwill,

business interruption and any other injury or damage. Any and all such warranties, other than the

limited warranty included herein, are hereby expressly disclaimed and excluded. Some states do not

allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or length of implied warranty,

so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specic legal

rights and it is possible you may have other rights which vary from this warranty.
