Assembly & Setup
Star Trac E-Series and S-Series Cardio Bikes
Use the checklist below to ensure proper installation of Star Trac E-Series and S-Series Cardio
Bikes:
All parts and hardware from packaging are accounted for.
Ensure all screws are tightened and torqued to their specified values.
Recumbent Bikes: Check the seat for lateral movement. If there is severe side to side movement
adjust the bolts on the seat carriage
Pair the correct console to the unit
Verify upper neck is properly mounted and secured.
Verify the engagement of all selector pins throughout the unit. Seat (all bikes) and heart rate bar (E-
RB).
Make sure the display mounting bracket and console rear shroud are properly mounted and secured.
All cables and harnesses are properly plugged into their respective connectors and are free from pinch
points when securing the console to the back console shroud.
The front and back display plastics/covers are properly installed and secured.
E-Series: Initialize the display electronics to activate the display software
Verify the model setting within the maintenance mode is set to correct model
Test the heart rate in the maintenance mode by engaging the “heart rate test” and using the hand
grips and polar strap
Use the unit in an active program to test resistance and overall movement under load with no noises or
rubbing being generated from the movements
On E-Series units verify the battery voltage to be at least 6.2v by accessing the “Measurements” menu
within the maintenance mode
Test the fans for proper function
Adjust the leveling feet to ensure the unit is stable and leveled.
Once powered up, all features of the unit function properly.
Overall visual & cosmetic inspection: All equipment is to be wiped down and checked for defects prior to
leaving the facility. Installer is to contact an authorized Core Health & Fitness representative while on site, if
there are any issues that have not been resolved.
