ItsrequesttotemporarilydisableyourPC’sFirewallandAnti‐Virus.ensurethat

yourfirewallisnotblockingthenetworkconnection.



WindowsFirewallmayblocksomeprograms(utility)from

communicatingovertheInternetafteryouinstallO!Direct.Ifyouare

installingtheO!Directutilityforthefirsttime,youmustSelect“Allow”

thisutilitytorun(pop‐upmessagewhileinstallingO!Directutility….(to

makeanexceptionand“allow”forO!Playtoconnecttoyourcomputer.)



Step1.ToInstallO!Directutilityonyourcomputer.



InstallO!DirectutilityfromthesupportCDthatcamewithyourO!PlayHD

mediaplayerpackage.youcanalsodownloadtheleastutilityfromASUS

SupportSite.



Step2.Youhavetousethesetup.exetoinstalltheO!Directutility.Pleasefindthe

setup.exeiconfile.ThendoubleclickitandinstalltheO!Directutility.



Step3.ChecktheO!Directutilityhasbeensuccessfullyinstalledonyourcomputer.



Step4.PressSetupbutton>Network>WirelessSetup>OK>choose”O!Direct”Click

OK>“Yes”toApplyto“TestConnection”.



Step5.TheO!DirectNetInfoautomaticallyappearonscreen>Click“OK”.



Step6.Whenyouattemptstoconnectforthefirsttime,youshouldClickonthe

wirelessbar,thecurrentlyavailablewirelesswindowcomeup(thewireless

barislocatedattherighthandsideofthesystembar,closetothesystem

clock)fromhereyoucanfindandconnecttotheO!Directwirelessaccess

point.youhaveaccesstoit.

Step7.PressSetupbutton>Network>toconfirmtheWirelessSetupisON.Ensure

thatwirelessO!Directconnectionprocesshasbeencompleted

Step8.PlayaMediaFile(onyourPC)viaO!DirectPath.

PressO!Play’sHomebuttongobacktothehomescreen>SelectaMediaFile(on

yourPC)>RightclickonthemediafileonyourPC>Clickthe“O!Direct

(O!Playmediaplayer”shouldbeabletostartplayingtheMediaFile.



Step8.Adialogueboxwouldpop‐upthatguidesyoutoenterthePINnumber

providedbyO!PLAYontheTVscreen,press“OK”afteryou’veenteredthe

PINnumbertostartmediastreaming.



Note:YoucanalsoselectmultifilesbyCtrl/Shift+mouse.Thefilesyouselected

willbecategorizedintotheplaylistbythisorder,theplaysequenceis.

IfyouhavemorethanoneO!Play.Pleaseselecttheoneyouwanttouse.



Whenyouconnecttoanetworkviaawirelessconnection,theremaybe

somelagorjitterswhenstreamingsomehigh‐definitionvideofiles.Such

problemisduetoWi‐FiRadioInterference,insufficientbandwidth

availableinsomecommonhome‐basedwirelessnetworkenvironment.We

recommendthatyouusewired

connection(LAN)forstreaming

high‐definitionvideofiles.



Onwirelessnetworks,yourWi‐Ficonnectionmightdropunex pectedlyforno

obviousreason.Refertothefollowingtodeterminewhy itishappeningand

preventit.

1.RemoveWi‐FiRadioInterference:

RadioInterferencesignalsfromvariousconsumerelectronicproducts

caninterferewithWi‐Fiwirelessnetworksignals.(cordlessphones,

Bluetoothdevices,garagedooropenersandmicrowaveovens)

2.ChangethepositionofyourRouter/AccesspointtoimproveWi‐Fi

performance.



WhilestreamingPC/NBsite.don'trunheavy‐dutyapplications



YourcomputersandrouterontheNetworkmustsharethesamenetwork,

subnet,andsharingthesameconnection.(accesstoyourLAN/WLANrouter,

switchorhub).


